Consider the equation 5x+7=22What two operations are represented in this equation??

How would you "undo" each of those operations

Which operation should you "undo" first why?? Please I need help

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: The two operations being represented are subtraction and division. ( subtract 7 from 22, then you have 5x=15, and then divide by 5 to get x=3) to "undo" it you would just use the opposite if each operation (so use addition to add 7 back to 15, and then multiply 5 times 3 to get the original equation on 5x+7=22. I assume you would undo it in the reverse order that you did it the first time. Hope that helped!
Answer 2
Answer: You should subtract 7 from both sides and then divide by 4 on both sides and that will be you answer for x and then plug in x to make sure you have the correct answer

Answer:

r = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

If we clearly observe a point and the slope of the line are given.

Point=(5, -6)   slope= -5

We know that the equation of the line having slope m and passing through point (x_(1) , y_(1))  is

y-y_(1)=m(x-x_(1))

Now the equation of the line is y-(-6)=(-5)*(x-5)

y+6=-5x+25

5x+y=19

Now given that (3,r) lies on this line

5*3+r=19

r = 4

A cone is placed inside a cylinder as shown. The radius of the cone is half the radius of the cylinder. The height of the cone is equal to the radius of the cylinder. What is the volume of the cone in terms of the radius, r?

Answers

Given:
radius of the cone = half the radius of the cylinder
height of the cone = radius of the cylinder

Volume of the cone = π r² h/3

let x be the radius of the cylinder

V = 3.14 * (x/2)² * x/3
V = 3.14 * (x/2 * x/2) * x/3
V = 3.14 * x²/4 * x/3
V = 3.14x³ / 12
The answer is π r³/12.

The radius of the cylinder is r.
The radius of the cone is half of the radius of the cylinder: r/2.
The height of the cone is equal to the radius of the cylinder: r.

If the volume of the cone is
π r²h/3, and the radius of the cone is r/2, and the height of the cone is r, then:
V = π × r² × h / 3
V = π × (r/2)² × r / 3
V = π × r²/4 × r / 3
V =
π r³/12

100 96 104 88 120 56 what is the next number in this series of numbers?

Answers

100-4=96
96+8=104
104-16=88
88+32=120
120-64=56
56+128=184

The next number in the series is -72.

To identify the pattern and find the next number in the series, let's examine the differences between consecutive numbers:

1st difference: 96 - 100 = -4

2nd difference: 104 - 96 = 8

3rd difference: 88 - 104 = -16

4th difference: 120 - 88 = 32

5th difference: 56 - 120 = -64

The pattern seems to alternate between addition and subtraction with a difference that doubles each time.

Now, let's find the next difference:

6th difference: (previous difference) × 2 = (-64) × 2 = -128

Now, to find the next number in the series, add the 6th difference to the last number:

56 + (-128) = -72
