Answer: ok, to show that she is incorrect we can use any other number in both equations and they will not be equal.  the number she used does turn out equal but that does not mean the equations are equal.
for example
2 times 3=6
3 to the power of 2 is 9

that shows the expressions are not equal

What's the probability that Paul will get a silver mountain bike.

Answers

possible outcomes are there 6 possible outcomes, 50% or 3/6 getting the racing bike, 2/6 or 1/3 being red, and 2/6 or 1/3 getting a  silver bike.

We have given that,

paul is getting a new bike, He can get either a racing bike or a mountain bike.

His color choices are red, black, and silver.

Make a tree diagram showing paul's possible outcomes.

                   racing bike                          mountainbike

red   black   silver                   red   black   silver

Therefore we get,

{red, black, silver,  red, black, silver  }

What is the formula for probability?

The probability of an event can be calculated by the probability formula by simply dividing the favorable number of outcomes.

The possible outcomes are 6

The probability for the racing car is,

P(C)=(3)/(6)=1/2

And the probability for the red car

P(R)=(2)/(6)=1/3

bill and amy want to ride their bikes from their neighborhood to school which is 14.4 kilometers away. it takes amy 40 minutes to arrive at school. bill arrives 20 mins after amy. how much faster in meters per second is amys average speed for the entire trip?

Answers

so distance is 14.4 km=14400m
the speed of Amy is 14400/40=360m/min
Bill spend 40+20=60min to arrive at school so his spped is 14400/60=240m/min
the difference between speeds is 360-240=120m/min
