A red ball has a mass that is less then 1 killogram.A blue ball has 1 killogram.is the mass of blue ball more then or less then the mass of the red ball?

Answers

The blue ball is more than the red ball because there isn't anything smaller than kilograms

The mass of the Blue ball is much more greater then the mass of the Red ball. So the Red ball has a mass that is less than one kilogram and the Blue ball has a mass of one kilogram.

(4-3√3)(2-√3)???? (the question marks signal the gap between the question and then me starting to distribute)4(2-√3)-3√3(2-√3)
I get stuck here!! Please help

You have two binomials.  I would just FOIL them:

First:           4 x 2 = 8

Outside:  4 (-√3) = -4√3

Inside:   -3√3 (2) = -6√3

Last:   -3√3 (-√3) = 9

Addummup:  8  -  4√3  -  -6√3  +  9  =  17 - 10√3

(4-3√3)(2-√3)
(4 - 3√3)(2 - √3) -> 4 x 2 = 8
(4 - 3√3)(2 - √3) -> -3√3 x 2 = -6√3
(4 - 3√3)(2 - √3) -> 4 x -√3 = -4√3
(4 - 3√3)(2 - √3) -> -3√3 x -√3 = 3√3 x √3 = √9√3 x √3 = √27 x √3 = √81 = 9

∴ (4-3√3)(2-√3) = 8 - 6√3 - 4√3 + 9

8 - 6√3 - 4√3 + 9
= 17 - 6√3 - 4√3
= 17 + (- 6 - 4)√3
= 17 - 10√3

Without decimals, you cannot go any further.
Tell me if I was confusing at all :)

How do you find percentages?

Answers

To calculate percentage increase, use the following method:

First, Work out the difference (increase) between the two numbers you are comparing.

Increase = New Number - Original Number

Now, divide the increase by the original number and multiply the answer by 100.

% increase = Increase ÷ Original Number × 100.

Also, If your answer is a negative number it is a percentage decrease.

To calculate percentage decrease, use this method:

First, Work out the difference (decrease) between the two numbers you are comparing.

Decrease = Original Number - New Number

Then, divide the decrease by the original number and multiply the answer by 100.

% Decrease = Decrease ÷ Original Number × 100

Also, If your answer is a negative number then it is a percentage increase.

If you wish to calculate the percentage increase or decrease of several numbers then I recommend using the first formula.  Positive values indicate a percentage increase whereas negative values indicate percentage decrease.

A parking lot in the shape of a trapezoid has an area of 12,052.1 square meters. The length of one base is 82.4 meters and the length of the base is 108.6 meters. What is the width of the parking lot

Answers

When you solve for the area of a trapezoid, you have this formula:

A = ((a + b)/2) * h
where: a & b are the bases ; h is the height

We just plug in the figures on the formula to get the needed information.

A = 12,052.10 square meters
a = 82.4 meters
b = 108.6 meters

12,052.10 = ((82.4 + 108.6)/2) h
12,052.10 = 191/2 * h
12,052.10 = 95.5 * h
12,052.10 / 95.5 = h
126.2 = height

The height of the parking lot is 126.20 meters.

Answer:

Step V: Transitive property of Inequality

Step VI: Subtraction Property of Inequality

Step-by-step explanation:

In Step IV, the RHS of t=both the sides are equal.

So, they equated the LHS of both the sides.

This is the transitive property of equality which states that if a = b and c = b then a = c.

In this case, a = $ \angle {m_1} + \angle {m_2}  $

b = 180⁰

c = $ \angle {m_2} + \angle {m_3} $

Consequently, $ \angle {m_1} + \angle {m_2} = \angle {m_2} + \angle {m_3} $

In step VI, $ \angle {m_2} $ is subtracted on both the sides. So, this is called as Subtraction Property of Equality.

A scientist observes that a zebra ran 54 yards in 135 seconds. The zebra ran at a rate of _ feet per minute

Answers

First convert yards to feet, there are 3 feet in a yard so it's just 54x3 which is 162 ft, the convert seconds to minutes so the zebra ran for 135 seconds with 60 seconds in a minute meaning it ran for 135/60 which is 2.25 minutes, then just divide the feet over the minutes to solve ft/min so 162/2.25 gives you 72, which means the answer is just 72ft/minute
