Which of these rules was part of the caste system? (4 points) A person could change his or her status through achievement, such as gaining wealth. A person was born into a social category and could advance through good behavior. A person of higher social standing could not marry a person of lower social standing. A person could do the same work as his or her parents or do something different.

Answers

The rule that was part of the caste system is "A person was born into a social category and could advance through good behavior." The correct option is B.

What are the rules imposed by the caste system?

There are some situations where a person may be ejected from their caste, but one may never alter their caste, quit it, or decide not to join it. 2. There are stringent marriage regulations for caste members. Caste groups are "endogamous," meaning that only other members of the group may marry.

The caste system was a rigid social hierarchy in ancient India that determined a person's social status at birth and was believed to be based on karma and reincarnation. It was difficult, if not impossible, for a person to change their caste during their lifetime, and their social status determined their occupation, spouse, and social interactions.

Thus, the ideal selection is option B.

The correct rule is "a person could not marry a person of lower social standing."

If you are born into a lower social class & became wealthier, had good behavior, owned more land, etc., it wouldn't change your position.

You are going to be stuck with the same social class your entire life, same thing would happen if your parents were in the lower social class & you became more successful, you would still be in the same class as your parents. You would work the jobs they worked & go through what they have to go through. Though I believe later on it was socially acceptable to marry to a lower class, but it was taboo.

Hopefully this helped of some sort!
