Describe the physical state of matter in the asthenosphere

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: The asthenosphere consists of many varieties of rock - mostly in a semi-molten condition. The temperatures reach levels high enough for most of the rock to turn soft and almost plastic-like. This soft, malleable (vocab word!) layer supports the lithosphere - consequently creating earthquakes when the plates above it shift. Just imagine a few pieces of play-do on top of a thing of slime (like the type you would get at a carnival). If you moved even one of the play-do pieces, it would move and push into another one of the "plates" - therefore creating an earthquake. (That's a whole different lesson, so I won't go into that.) I hope this answered your question fully!

Which is the main goal of Mercosur? A. to create a political alliance among South American countries
B. to allow free trade among South American countries
C. to address environmental challenges in South America
D. to raise literacy rates in South America

Answers

One of the major objectives of Mercosur is to permit unfettered commerce between South American nations. Option B is correct.

What is the aim of Mercosur?

Mercosur is defined as a fluid and open system. Since its inception, its primary goal has been to foster an environment where national economies may compete for market share to create commercial and investment possibilities.

Now, EU companies will have significantly greater access to Mercosur's market than do enterprises from other nations. Mercosur's nations will have easier access to import components and intermediate goods. Unrestricted trade between South American countries is one of Mercosur's main goals.

Therefore, option B is correct, that the key aims of Mercosur is to facilitate unhindered commerce between South American states.
