What is photorespiration? Describe the techniques used by C3, C4, and CAM Plants to minimize photorespiration. Please provide AP Level explanation.

Answers

Photorespiration is the opposite of photosynthesis.

Photorespiration is a process that occurs in many higher plants in which the plant take up oxygen in the presence of light and releases carbon dioxide that is opposite to the pattern of photosynthesis.

C4 plants minimize photorespiration by using PEP enzyme during the first step of carbon fixation whereas the CAM plants closed stomata at daytime in order to avoid photorespiration. In C3 plants, the mesophyll cells is responsible to minimize or avoid photorespiration.

brainly.com/question/2560710

Photorespiration is when plants take in oxygen and light and release carbon dioxide. Contrary to photosynthesis. C3 plants have no system to minimize photorespiration, C4 plants minimize photoresperiation by separating the initial CO2 fixations and the Calvin cycle to be performed in different types of cells. CAM plants minimize photorespiration by taking CO2 by opening their stomata at night and then keeping the stomata closed during the day while they do photosynthesis.

Explanation:

I don't think you can do it with the information you've given... is there anything about how their heights compare in the problem? I see a part of it is cut off

Answer:

See below

Explanation:

V = h*pi*r^2

V = h*pi*6² = h*pi*36

V = h*pi*3² = h*pi*9

36 cm^3 / 9 cm^3

= 4

Therefore, the volume of beaker A is 2² times the volume of beaker B

EDIT

However if beaker A is twice the height of beaker B (let's say A is 4 cm high and B is 2 cm high) then the factor between the resulting volumes would be 8.

V = h*pi*6² = 4*pi*36 = 452 cm^2

V = h*pi*3² = 2*pi*9 = 56 cm^2

452 cm^2 / 56 cm^2

= 8

Therefore, the volume of beaker A is 2³ times the volume of beaker B

Describe the cold war

Answers

The Cold War led was a conflict between the United States of America (USA), along with its allies, and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and its satellite states and allies.  The deeper issues that set the USA and the USSR at odds were that the USA was committed to capitalism and democratic institutions of government, whereas the USSR was committed to communism and imposed authoritarian government.  The Cold War was mostly a tension between these worldviews.

There were also immediate conflicts and pressure points as the Cold War began. One of those issues was that the USA had atomic weapons and the USSR did not.  (The US would not share that technology with the Soviets, who had been their ally in World War II.)  When the Soviets developed their own atomic weaponry, this led to a massive arms race between the superpowers.

During the course of the Cold War, the two superpowers never directly went to war with one another.  However, they did support a number of proxy wars where they were supporting opposing sides in other conflicts -- such as the Korean War, the Six Day War (in the Middle East), the Soviet-Afghan War, etc.

As the Cold War continued, the two superpowers (US and USSR) kept escalating their weapons capabilities and stockpiles.  It got to the point that if the two sides did plunge into war, they would face mutually assured destruction.  Eventually the US and USSR would pursue policies of detente, which included pledges to reduce their nuclear arsenals.  The arms race and solving the arms race were constant issues affecting the Cold War.

The Cold War was the war between United States and Soviet Union following the WWII. After the defeat of the axis powers and the fall of Hilter, the Soviet Union possessed the world's largest enemy. The US possessed the most powerful weapon in the atomic bomb, which had just been dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to defeat Japan. Both nations had allied with one another in the war to defeat their common enemy but this was merely a front to mask the contempt both had for one another. The cold war was the term used to describe the antagonism between democratic America and communist Soviet Union (Russia). While there was never any armed notion of conflict between both nation, the cold war was the battle of ideologies and was waged in nations all over the world between proxy nation. The US goal was to spread democragy throughout the world and Soviet Union's goal was to spread communism.

Answers

Answer;

All the above

  • Repair certain types of damage to the property
  • Purchase renter's insurance for the property
  • Avoid participating in illegal activity on the property

Explanation;

-A lease agreement or a rental agreement is a vital legal document that should be completed prior to a landlord renting property to a tenant.

-A lease agreement is a contract between a landlord and a tenant that covers the renting of property for long periods of time, usually a period of 12 months or more.

-The lease agreement is very specific in detailing the responsibilities of both parties during the lease and it includes all the necessary information to ensure that both parties are protected.

A typical housing lease may require a tenant to repair certain types of damage to the property, purchase renter’s insurance for the property, and avoid participating in illegal activity on the property. So the correct answer should be E. All of the above.
