Has the meaning of reading change over time?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: No, even though literally everything has changed in the 21 century, reading is one of those curriculum, and interest that holds the same person.
Books were made to be read, studied, and to feed the sense of our minds, and imagination.
Books are the foundation of education, before technology, and etc. Books are one of those tools that connect us to our past , because they never change. But of course, now reading has more variety and expense.
We don't have to depend on buying every book from the store or worrying the shelves will run out before we get there. Technology has made reading way more accessible , and now global masses are being educated through reading , people that without technology would never have had a chance before .

I stood against the far wall of the shabby lobby avoiding eye contact with the doorman as my dad checked us in for the night. We’d hoped to make it as far as Scranton, but the weather had interfered, leaving us instead at an eyesore of a truck-stop motel. My ear buds were jammed in as far as comfort would allow in a vain attempt to block out the motel’s vibe. Still, I could not ignore the looming presence of the doorman. He stood in the dim portico, sweeping and re-sweeping a pile of lint on the floor, watching the parking lot with his watery eyes, and occasionally signaling to the whiskered clerk behind the desk. What technique does the author use to build suspense in the excerpt? The pace of the story quickens. The word choice darkens the tone. Odd characters are introduced. The setting details are intentionally omitted.

Do you think Dee burned down the first house? Why do you think this way? Mama talks about how Dee hated that house and coldly watched it burn down. But could Dee really be THAT selfish to do something that could, and does, scar her family for life?

Answers

Answer:

Dee thinks that Mama and Maggie do not understand or appreciate their heritage because they routinely use the family items that Dee thinks should be preserved.  First, she marvels over the rump prints in the benches that her father made when they were too poor to buy chairs.  Then, she insists that she wants Grandma Dee's butter dish (even though she doesn't want to keep her name, same as her grandmother's), then the churn top and the dasher: all of which Mama and Maggie still use in daily life.

The repair shop could not fix the broken bicycle.

A.
repair

B.
shop

C.
fix

D.
bicycle

Answers

it is d bicycle that is your answer

I am doing a test with this question also and if i am not mistaken, the answer is bicycle. I think this because word broken is a particible, and when a word is modified, it is modifiying the specified word. So in the sentence, the participle is broken, and they word broken is speaking of the bicycle. So broken modifies the word bicylce. Answer: D bicycle.
