Whats 1 5/10+3/10 in simplest form

Answers

First simplify the fractions: 1 1/2 + 3/10
Then add the fractions together: 0.8
Then you have 1.8.
Hey, Aneseyia313!
5/10+3/10
No adding the denominators(bottom number), you only add the numerators(top number).
5+3=8
8/10
1+0=1
1 8/10
8/10=4/5
1 4/5

An airport offers two shuttles that run on different schedules. If both shuttles leave the airport at 4:00 p.m.,at what time will they next leave theairport together...shuttle A leaves every 6 minutes, shuttle B leaves every 9 minutes

Answers

I think collegerocksmath has the right idea but if the least common multiple is 18. Then the shuttle will be leaving together every 18 minutes. So they would leave together again at 4:18pm.
Another easy way would be to make a list of the times the shuttle would leave and then find the matching pair of times.

Shuttle A leaves every 6 minutes so:
4:00pm
4:06pm
4:12pm
4:18pm
4:24pm

Shuttle B leaves every 9 minutes so:
4:00pm
4:09pm
4:18pm
4:27pm

I did 1 extra time in each so that you can see that the time that matched would be 4:18pm and why that would be so.

Hope this helps!
you have to find the least coomen multiple to get the answer. you have a choice to do a venn diagram, ladder method or a factor tree. what I did was list down the multiples of 6 and 9. After I did that I got an answer of 18. That is your answer to your problem. The shutters will leave together at 6:00 A.M (double check beacause I was having a hard time trying to answer this question for u) I hope u get this right

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME ;( Your teacher asked your class to describe a real-world situation in which a y-intercept is 100 and the slope is 5. Your partner gave thefollowing description: My younger brother originally had 100 small building blocks, but he has lost 5 of them every month since. What mistake did your partner make? Describe a real-world situation that does match the situation.

Answers

Okay so your partner describes a situation that has a slope of NEGATIVE 5, not positive 5 as your teacher asked.
Instead, your younger brother could have started with 100 and GAINED 5 every month, instead of losing 5.

The product rule for exponents states that for two or exponents that share the same base, the products is equal to their shared base to the sum of their exponents. Can anyone help me figure this out?

10⁻⁵ · 10⁴ · 10⁸ = 10⁻⁵⁺⁴⁺⁸ = 10⁷

Answers

The product rule for exponents allows you to add the exponents together when multiplying numbers with the same base. In the example, 10⁻⁵ · 10⁴ · 10⁸, you added -5, 4 and 8 to get 10⁷. This rule is useful in scientific notation for simplifying multiplication.

The product rule for exponents states that for any base (in your case it's 10), the product of two exponents with the same base equals to the base raised to the sum of the exponents. Essentially, you just add the exponents together. If you have 10⁻⁵, 10⁴, and 10⁸, you simply find your answer by doing 10⁻⁵⁺⁴⁺⁸. This is equal to 10⁷, so your initial calculation was correct. An example of this rule can be seen with smaller numbers. If you take 5² (equal to 5x5 which equals 25) and multiply it by 5³ (equal to 5x5x5 which equals 125), using the product rule of exponents, you would add 2 and 3 (the exponents) to get 5⁵ (equal to 3125). To further apply this rule, you could have scientific notation; for multiplying two numbers represented in this system (like 3 × 10⁵ and 2 × 10⁰) you multiply the coefficients (3 and 2) and combine it with 10 raised to the sum of the exponents.

Answer:The exponent "product rule" tells us that, when multiplying two powers that have the same base, you can add the exponents. In this example, you can see how it works. Adding the exponents is just a short cut! The "power rule" tells us that to raise a power to a power, just multiply the exponents

Step-by-step explanation:

What is the slope and the y-intercept of y=1,000-65x

Answers

so what you have is this:
y = -65x + 1000

this is a form of y = mx + b,
where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept of the linear relationship.

so, -65 is m and 1000 is the b

It should be a piece of cake from there :D
slope: -65 y-int: (0,1000) remember y=mx + b m=slope so whichever number is by x thats the slope and b= y-int
