Answers

Lincoln's words echo those of the seceded states in that D.  The failure of citizens to abide by the Constitution has driven the states apart.

The opinion of Lincoln and the seceded states was that:

  • Lincoln believed secession was illegal and unconstitutional.
  • The seceded states believed that the North was not abiding by the provisions of the law and the Constitution in pushing for abolition.

Both Lincoln and the seceded states therefore blamed the failure to abide by the Constitution for the breakdown in national unity between the North and the South.

In conclusion, option D is correct.

Answers

Hi There! :)

What group was affected by the wage cuts and unemployment during the depression?

All levels of society
The everyday average work-class citizen was affected by the depression the most, especially is they had invested in the stock market and could not pay off the products they bought with an installment plan. If they went to the bank to take out their money, they would have found that  the banks had invested the patron's money and lost it in the stock market as well and which caused the banks to fail. People who were unemployed were unable to pay bills and soon were evicted from their homes and had to sell all of their belongings.
