Have researchers have now been able to cool substances to absolute zero

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: It's a law of nature, which I don't understand too well, that we can
cool things as close to Absolute Zero as we want to, but we can
never get all the way there.

I think that individual atoms and molecules have been cooled in
the laboratory to within a few thousandths of a Celsius degree
of it ... actually not too shabby an accomplishment !

WOW !  I just went and searched online for more information
on this subject.  (You can't imagine what great stuff you can find
by doing that.  You ought to try it some time.)

The 1997 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to a team of three
physicists who invented a method of using lasers to slow down the
motion of atoms, and that's the same thing as cooling them.  They
were able to cool some atoms to a temperature of 240 millionths
of a degree above Absolute Zero !

Carbon and hydrogen are examples of pure substances or

Answers

Answer:

Elements

Explanation:

Carbon and Hydrogen are pure substances or elements. All the atoms of carbon have same number of protons. It cannot be broken into new elements.

Contrary to elements, there are compounds which are formed by the chemical bonds between two or more elements like in water. In water, Hydrogen and oxygen elements combine. All the atoms of water do not have the same number of protons. Then, there are mixtures where elements are not chemically bound. For example, air.

The are elements on the periodic table

The tendency of an object to resist any change in its motion is known as?

Answers

Answer:

Inertia

Explanation:

The tendency of an object to resist any change in its motion is known as its inertia. The first law of motion is also known as the law of inertia. The inertia of an object can change its speed and the direction of motion. It is related directly to the mass of an object.

A body having more mass will have more inertia while a body having less mas will have less inertia.

It's inertia. A rule that you see every day, for example a brick will stay in the same spot unless a force acts on it.

If a step-up transformer has a primary coil with 15 turns, how many turns would be required in the secondary coil in order to increase the voltage from 80 volts to 160 volts? A. 8 turns B. 30 turns C. 80 turns D. 160 turns

Answers

Answer:

N_2=30turns

So option (b) will be correct option

Explanation:

We have given that there is a step up transformer in which number of turns in primary coil is 15

That is, N_1=15

Primary voltage V_1=80volt, and secondary voltage V_2=160volt

We have to find the number of turns in the secondary \

We know that for the transformer

(N_1)/(N_2)=(V_1)/(V_2)

(15)/(N_2)=(80)/(160)

N_2=30turns

So option (b) will be correct option

the length of time it takes a planet to revolve around the sun is equivalent to witch of the following?

Answers

it really depends on how far or close the planet is from the sun

Answer:

The length of its year.

Explanation:

When Earth completes a full rotation, a year has completed. So, the same can be the same for other orbiting planet. The moon for example takes  29.5 days to revolve around the Earth, so one moon year is   29.5 Earth days.
