Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Answer:

C. A decision to intervene in some human rights situations but not

others

Explanation:

The headlines demonstrate an incoherence of the United States, as the country leading alliances for world peace, by intervening in conflicts in Haiti and in the former Yogoslavia to preserve human rights, but to turn a blind eye to the serious conflicts in Somalia. This leads us to think of the reasons why, in the face of similar situations, a government takes different actions. Probably economic and political reasons.

Answer 2
Answer:

Answer:

A decision to intervene in some human rights situations but not

others- C.

What are 3 causes of the boston tea party and 3 effecwhat are 3causes and effects of the boston tea party

Answers

3 effects
1) it made the English king really mad

2) Major punishments were imposed on Boston colonists

3) Warrants were issued for the colonial group known as the Sons of Liberty

The rebels took the barrels of tea and tossed them into the Boston Harbor, giving the historic event its name. However, this is not the only things that happened – the British retaliated with the Coercive Acts, otherwise known as the Intolerable Acts. The Intolerable Acts included a series of laws that 1) Closed Boston Harbor 2) Banned town meetings, disallowing the self-government that the colonies were stretching towards 3) (and probably the most infamous of all) the Quartering Act. The Quartering Act allowed British soldiers to stay in the homes of colonial citizens and take whatever food they may happen to "need." The outrage this act caused the future creation of the 4th Amendment to the US Constitution – banning soldiers from quartering in the homes of citizens.

The Boston Tea Party happened on December 16, 1773. It was when the people of Boston, particularly The Sons of Liberty, dumped tea into Boston harbor. They did it to protest the unfair taxes, such as the Stamp Act (the British repealed the Stamp Act before the Boston Tea Party) and the tax on tea. The colonists dressed like Mohawk Indians and boarded three ships called the Dartmouth, the Eleanor, and the Beaver. They dumped tea that was worth about £10,000. No one tried to stop them, not even a British officer watching from his window (he noticed too)!

Cause: Patriots were angry because they didn’t have a voice in Parliament and they therefore thought the laws and taxes were unfair. They hoped this action would make the British repeal the tea tax.

Effect: The British responded by closing Boston harbor. They did not repeal the tea tax. They also passed the Intolerable Acts. The Boston Tea Party also stirred up a rebellious feeling in the colonies. This was the start of the Revolutionary War.
