Are individuals empowered by human rights?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: To answer your question, first you need to define human rights.  What are human rights to you?  Where does the boundary line end and start?  Should all humans be allowed to sit on the same bus even if their skin tone differs?  Should your waist size dictate what you can and can not do?  What is discrimination, and what isn't.  These are the questions you need to define for yourself, without looking it up on google.  And then, after you've done that, you should ask yourself does being able to do this action empower me?  Do I feel powerful when I do this action?  You can go a step farther by putting yourself in a different position.  What if I was a single mother, or wha if I was in a position where I didn't have a stable job?

I hope this helped!  If you want to discuss this farther, message me:)

Which three industries would be the most directly affected if regulations and laws regarding deforestation became stricter.

Answers

The Logging, Timber and Construction Industries would be the most affected

For obvious reasons, anyone employed in the logging industry would be severely affected if stricter laws were enforced regarding deforestation since less trees could be cut down compared to today's current quotas.

Secondly, those working in the Timber industry would also be immediately affected by the restricted availability of timber and wood in general.

Thirdly, the Construction industry, particularly in states where building structures are mostly wooden structures due to earthquakes, would suffer a tremendous pressure to remain competitive as Timber and wood prices would inevitably increase in price as availability decreases.

Although the South lost the Civil War, it succeeded after the war in what way? a. staging an economic recovery c. electing presidents b. regaining its political power d. it redefined the war and its outcome

Answers

B and D are correct answers with my preference being D.

After the War, the South managed, through the "Lost Cause" myth to redefine the South's reasons for fighting.

Instead of being bigots holding on to an institution wherein they enslaved African-Americans for profit, they were now "fighting for State's rights"

This, combined with the failure of Reconstruction, led to the very people responsible for the Civil War to see their children become leaders in the new South.
