The midpoint of the sides of triangle ABC are labeled D, E, and F. If the perimeter of triangle DEF is 24 find the perimeter of triangle ABC.A.48
B.72
C.96
D.120

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Ok well the only thing that makes since to me is that the triangle is a Equilateral Triangle, so all the sides are going to be the same. And if the perimeter is 24, then you divide that by 3, and you get 8. And if DEF is the midpoints of triangle ABC, then DEF is an upside down triangle in the triangle ABC. So all the sides of ABC are double whatever DEFs are. And DEFs were 8, so 8 times 2 is 16. And to get the perimeter you add that together 3 times and you get 48. So i'm not sure exactly how you would do this, but i'm pretty sure this is the way. If not i'm sorry i couldn't help. :(
Answer 2
Answer: Linking the midpoints of each side of a triangle cuts it into four smaller, mathematically similar versions of itself, the central of which is reflected vertically - ALWAYS. Therefore, the area scale factor of the new, smaller triangle to the original larger triangle, is 4. √(4) would give the linear scale factor (the nth route of the area scale factor, where n is the dimension of operation), which is 2.
The original triangle must have a perimeter twice as long as the smaller triangle.

Each day that a library book is kept past its due date, a $0.30 fee is charged at midnight. Which ordered pair is a viable solution if x represents the number of days that a library book is late and y represents the total fee?Answers:
(–3, –0.90)
(–2.5, –0.75)
(4.5, 1.35)
(8, 2.40)

Answers

The answer is (8, 2.40).

We can deduce this because if x is negative, it means the book is not late; it's early! We can cross out the first two answers. We know the third one is wrong because the fee is charged on midnight, so the fee for 4.5 days late would be the fee for 4 days late, which would be 1.20, not 1.35. for 8 days, the cost would be (8*0.30) = 2.40, which is what we have for y in the pair. Therefore, (8, 2.40) is the answer.

Hope this helps! :)

Answer:

The answer is (8, 2.40).

Step-by-step explanation:

The function f(x) = x^2 has been translated 9 units up and 4 units to the right to form the function g(x). Which represents g(x)?g(x) = (x + 9)^2 + 4

g(x) = (x + 9)^2 − 4

g(x) = (x − 4)^2 + 9

g(x) = (x + 4)^2 + 9

Hello,

This is one way:

The vertex is (4,9)

1)g(4)=(4+9)²+4=13²+4≠9

2)g(4)=(4+9)²-4=13²-4≠9

3)g(4)=(4-4)²+9=0²+9=9 yes!!!!

4)g(4)=(4+4)²+9=8²+9≠9

Find value 40% of 25 is what number?

Answers

40% from 25 is:

25 * 40% =
= 25 * 40/100 =
= 25 * 4/10 =
= 25 * 0,4 =
= 10

Another way is to find 1% of 25 and then multiply it by 40:

25 * 40% =
= (25 / 100) * 40 =
= 0,25 * 40 =
= 10

14.42 Round to the nearest tenth.

Answers

The answer is 14.4 because if the last number is 5 or higher you round up if not you round down. Then, you should get 14.40 but, the 0 isn't necessary so the answer is 14.4.
The answer is 14.4, because when you round, if the number is 4 or lower, you make it a zero. If it is a 5 or higher, you make it a ten. But since it is a 2, you make it a zero, and 14.40 is the same as 14.4, because if you make it a fraction and simplify it, you still get the same as 14.4. So your answer is 14.4.
