Answer 1
Answer: So, the area of a triangle is base x height, divided by 2.

When you calculated the area, you forgot to divide the answer by 2, which left you with 810.

27 x 30 = 810
Answer/2 is equal to the answer:
810/2 is 405.

Hope this helps!
Answer 2
Answer: the formula for the area of a triangle is 1/2(base×height)
30×27=810
810×1/2=405

Patty is a member of the environmental club. Each weekday, she volunteers for 2 hours. On Saturday and Sunday, she volunteers 3 hours more each day. Which expression shows how to find the number of hours she volunteers in one week

Answers

Answer:

20

Step-by-step explanation:

She volunteers for hours on each week day = 2

No. of week days = 5

So, She volunteers for hours on 5 week day = 5 * 2

On Saturday and Sunday, she volunteers 3 hours more each day.

So, on weekend She volunteers for hours on each day = 2+3 = 5 hours

No. of days in weekend = 2

So, She volunteers for hours on weekend 2 * 5

So,  the number of hours she volunteers in one week:

=  5 * 2+2 * 5

= 20

Hence the number of hours she volunteers in one week is 20

2 (hours) × 5 (weekdays) + 10 ( total number of hours on weekend )

2×5 + 4×3? sorry if its wrong could be right tho

THE SEAT OF A BENCH IS IN THE SHAPE OF A TRAPEZOID WITH BASES OF 6 FEET AND 5 FEET AND A HEIGHT OF 1.5 FEET. WHAT IS THE AREA OF THE SEAT

Answers

Answer:

Area of the seat = 8.25 square feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The shape of the Seat of a bench is given to be in a trapezoid.

So, in order to find the area of the seat, we apply the formula to find the area of the trapezoid.

Now, length of the parallel sides : a = 6 feet and b = 5 feet.

Height = 1.5 feet

\text{Area of the trapezium = }(1)/(2)(a+b)* height\n\n\implies \text{Area of the seat = }(1)/(2)(5+6)* 1.5\n\n\implies Area = (1)/(2)* 11 * 1.5\n\n\implies Area = 8.25\text{ square feet}

Hence, Area of the seat = 8.25 square feet

Your formula for the area of a trapezoid is A=1/2 (base 1 + base 2) h
so, when you plug' n' chug your equation will look like this:
A= 1/2 (6 + 5) 1.5
= 1/2 (11) 1.5 (You can actually divide by 2 instead of multiplying by 1/2)
= 8.25 ft.^2
there you go.:)

9x1x5= & I have to use parentheses

Answers

(9 x1) x 5 =  9 x 5 = 45

9 x (1 x 5) = 5 x 9 = 45

So it doesn't matter where the parentheses were suppose to go as you can see I worked it both ways and the answer is the same.

Hope this helps you. :-)

You can place the parentheses anywhere cause if you do (9x1)5 it will equal 45. And if you do (5x1)9 it will also be 45. So where ever you put it , it will equal the same amount. But, jus in case next time asked your teacher or friends for further help.

Of 140 seventh-grade students, 15% earn the Presidential Physical Fitness Award. How many students earn the award?

Answers

We have an equation: ?/140= 15/100

Cross multiply:
100*?= 15*140
⇒ ?= 15*140/100= 21

21 students earn the Presidential Physical Fitness Award~
15% is equivalent to the fraction 3/20 so you must divide 140 by 20 then multiply by 3 to get the final answer of 21 students. Hope this helps :D

In a line of students, Jenna is number 8.The teacher says that a rule for a number pattern is add 4. The first student inline says the first term, 7. What number should Jenna say?

Answers

Answer:

Formula for nth term in Arithmetic sequences is:

a_n =a+(n-1)d

where a is the first term, d is the common difference and n is the number of terms.

As per the statement:

The rule for the pattern is add 4.

As the first term in line says the first term i,e 7

a= 7

common difference(d)= 7

As the Jenna number is 8th in line.

Series we get;

7, 11, .........a_8

We have to find the 8th term.

n = 8, a = 7 and d = 4

Using above formula:

a_8 = 7+(8-1)4 = 7+7 \cdot 4 = 7 +28 = 35

Therefore, 35 number should Jenna say.

7 , 11 , 15,19,23,27,31,35. Jenna should say 35.
