Answer 1
Answer:

Answer:

I dont know what you are supposed to answer with but I'll try to help you out. I take it that you have to find the letter ex. the letter d in 1/2d = 7. What you have to do is to get the d by itself and in order to do that you must move the 1/2 over to the 7. So what you would have to do is take the fraction that has the letter on it and move it to the whole number side or the side without the letter but without moving the d.The d stays on one side while the other numbers are on the other side. When you move the 1/2 over it should look like this sort of due to the limitations of only being able to use text: d = 7 ÷ 1/2. Now after that you have to divide 7 by 1/2 or .5 for question 13 in this instance. Your answer for 13 should be this: d=4.5Makesuretoshowallyourworkjustincase.

13. d = 4.5

14. 18 = f

15.-9=s

16.-24 = r

17. 0.125 = y

18. -3 = v

Hope I could help as I am also a fellow 9th grader

Answer 2
Answer: ANSWERS:

13) d= 14
14) f= 18
15) s= -9
16) r= -24
17) y= 1/8
18) v= -3

SOLUTION:
13) multiply both sides by 2
14) multiply bothsides by 6 then divide both sides by 5
15) multiply both sides by 3 then divide both sides by 2
16) multiply both sides by 8 then divide both sides by -3
17) divide both sides by 4/5
18) divide both side by 1/4

mark went to two stores to buy a shirt,pants,and shoes. he wants to know which store has the better deal. ( item:shirts $23.89,pants $15.67,shoes $9.99 John's store) ( item: shirts $21.35,pants $12.45,shoes $12.99 sam's store) these are the questions:A. which store has the better deal? prove it. B. if mark has 3 twenty dollars bills ,what would the change be form the store that had the better deal? C. if mark bough 2 pants for m the store that had the better deal, what would his total cost be?

Answers

If he is only buying one of each, then his total cost from each store would be:

John's: $23.89 + $15.67 + $9.99 = $49.55
Sam's: $21.35 + $12.45 + $12.99 = $46.79

So, Sam's has the better deal (proof above).

If he has 3 twenty dollar bills, then he has $60.
His change would be:

$60 - $46.79 = $13.21

If he bought two pants from Sam's (the store with the better deal), then his total would be:

(2)($21.35) + $12.45 + $12.99 = $68.14

8000 pounds is 4 tons then what is 7000 equal to?

Answers

Steps:
1. Do a proportion
8000 pounds/4 tons= 7000 pounds/ x
2. Do 7,000 times 4 which equals 28,000
3. Do 28,000 divided by 8,000
4. Your answer is
3.5 tons

Create a proportion: 8000/4 = 7000/x

8000x = 28000

then divide

8000x/8000 = 28000/8000

that equals x = 3.5 tons

---------------------------------------------------------OR---------------------------------------------------

Create a proportion 8000/4 = 7000/x

then simplify to 2000/1 = 7000/x

7000 = 2000x

then divide

7000/2000 = 2000x/2000

3.5 tons = x

Frances is sewing a border around 2 rectangular tablecloths that each measure 9 feet long by 6 feet wide.  If it takes her 3 minutes to sew on 1 inch of border, how many minutes will it take her to complete her sewing project?  Write an expression, and then solve.

Answers

2,160 minutes

Further explanation

Given:

  • Frances is sewing a border around 2 rectangular tablecloths that each measure 9 feet long by 6 feet wide.
  • It takes her 3 minutes to sew on 1 inch of the border.

Question:

  • How many minutes will it take her to complete her sewing project?
  • Write an expression, and then solve it.

The Process:

The following are the steps to form the expression.

  1. Perimeter of a rectangle:\boxed{2 * (9 + 6)}
  2. The total perimeter of the two rectangles:\boxed{2 * 2 * (9 + 6)}
  3. Converting feet to inches: \boxed{2 * 2 * (9 + 6) * 12}
  4. She takes 3 minutes to sew on 1 inch of the border of a tablecloth, therefore we can write an expression as follows: \boxed{\boxed{ \ 2 * (2 * (9 + 6 )) * 12 * 3 \ }} \ in \ minutes

Let us solve the expression.

\boxed{\ 2 * (2 * (9 + 6 )) * 12 * 3 \ } \ in \ minutes

\boxed{\ = 2 * (2 * 15) * 12 * 3 \ } \ in \ minutes

\boxed{\ = 2 * 30 * 12 * 3 \ } \ in \ minutes

\boxed{\ = 720 * 3 \ } \ in \ minutes

Thus she takes 2,160 minutes to complete her sewing project.

The following are the complete steps.

Step-1:calculating the total perimeter of the border around 2 rectangular tablecloths

Recall the perimeter of a rectangle.

\boxed{ \ Perimeter = 2 * (length + width) \ }

\boxed{ \ Perimeter = 2 * (9 + 6) \ }

\boxed{ \ Perimeter = 2 * 15 \ }

\boxed{ \ Perimeter = 2 * 15 \ }

Hence the perimeter of a rectangular tablecloth is 30 feet.

So, the total perimeter of the border around 2 rectangular tablecloths is \boxed{30 \ feet * 2 = 60 \ feet}

Step-2:converting feet to inches

Recall that \boxed{1 \ feet = 12 \ inches \ }

Let us convert 60 feet to inches.

\boxed{\ = (12 \ inches)/(1 \ feet) * 60 \feet \ }

\boxed{\ = 720 \ inches \ }

Step-3:calculating minutes will it take her to complete her sewing project

She takes 3 minutes to sew on 1 inch of the border of a tablecloth. There are 2 rectangular tablecloths.

\boxed{ \ = (3 \ minutes)/(1 \ inch) * 720 \ inches \ }

\boxed{ \ = 3 * 720 \ minutes \ }

\boxed{\boxed{ \ 2,160 \ minutes \ }}

Thus she takes 2,160 minutes to complete her sewing project.

Keywords: Frances is sewing, a border, around, 2 rectangular tablecloths, that each measure 9 feet long by 6 feet wide, takes, 3 minutes to sew, 1 inch of border, how many, minutes, to complete her sewing project, write an expression, to solve it

The perimeter of a rectangle is - 2 x (length + breadth).

Also, 1 feet = 12 inches.

So, the dimensions of the tablecloth are 108 inches long by 72 inches wide. So, the total perimeter of the table cloth is --> 2 x (108 + 72) = 360 inches.

So, time taken for 1 tablecloth = 360 x 3 = 1080 minutes.

And, Time taken for 2 tablecloths = 1080 x 2 = 2160 minutes.

So, to complete her sewing project, Frances will take a total of 2160 minutes (36 hours).

Angles C and E are supplementary. The M>C = 112 and M>E = (3x + 50) Solve for X.

Answers

Answer:

The value of x is 6

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If two angles are supplementary, then their sum is equal to 180 degrees

so

In this problem

m∠C+m∠E=180°

we have

m∠C=112°

m∠E=(3x+50)°

substitute and solve for x

112°+(3x+50)°=180°

3x+162=180

3x=180-162

3x=18

x=6
