Find the slope of the line that passes through the points (-2,5) and (-3,-1)

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: slope between (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
s=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(x,y)
(-2,5)
(-3,-1)
x1=-2
y1=5
x2=-3
y2=-1

slope=(-1-5)/(-3-(-2))=-6/(-3+2)=-6/-1=6

slope=6

i need help on here how to solve it

Answers

Professor Dan Healy, one of my Engineering instructors back in prehistoric times,  had a favorite way of showing us how to do this kind of problem ... I mean the kind that's incredibly easy, but your own fear gets in the way and convinces you that you can't handle it.  Here is Prof. Healy's method.

For a few moments, call the square root of 5 by the name "cow".

cow - x = 4 .    Solve this equation for 'x' :

Add 'x' to each side of the equation:  cow = 4 + x

Subtract 4 from each side:                cow - 4 = x

Now, we can put the real value back in place of 'cow' :  √5 - 4 = x

That right there is a perfect solution.  But If you absolutely need to
know the number, then grab your calculator:

√5 = 2.2361 (rounded)

x = √5 - 4 = 2.2361 - 4 = -1.7639 (rounded)

\sqrt5-x=4\n x=\sqrt5-4

The equation A = p + prt is used to find the accumulated amount, A, of an investment with principal, P, a certain interest rate, r, and over time, t. What is the value for r, after the equation is rearranged?r equals start fraction cap a plus p over p t end fraction
r equals start fraction cap a minus p over p t end fraction
r equals start fraction cap a minus one over t end fraction
r = A − p − pt

Answers

A=p+prt
minus p both sides
A-p=prt
divide both sides by pt
(A-p)/(pt)=r
dunno what a fraction cap is
I would guess it is the 2nd one

Answer:

The answer is B, r = "A - p / pt."

Find the coordinates of the midpoint between (–1, 2) and (3, –6).A)(-2, 1)B)(-1, 2)C)(-1, -2)D)(1, -2)E)(2, -1)

Answers

Answer:

option D

(1, -2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given in the question are coordinates,

(–1, 2) and (3, –6)

x1 = -1

x2 = 3

y1 =2

y2 = -6

Formula to calculate midpoint

(x1+x2)/(2),(y1+y2)/(2)

(-1+3)/(2),(2-6)/(2)

(2)/(2),(-4)/(2)

(1,-2)

The mapping shows a relationship between input and output values. Which ordered pair could be removed to make this relation a function? (–5, 0) (–1, –3) (4, –2) (6, –1)

Answers

At first glance, a function looks just like a relation. Like a relation, a function has a domain and range made up of the x and y values of ordered pairs. A test known as vertical line test is used to know if the relation is a function, since the given data has different y values then it can already form a relation function without omitting a single point

the answer wuld be c (4,-2)
