What type of chemical reaction is happening here? 8Fe + S8 --> 8FeS

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: This is a synthesis reaction since you are taking two elements and creating one (opposite of decomposition).  I think this might also classify as a redox reaction as well since it appears as if iron is being oxidized and sulfur is being reduced (iron is loosing electrons while sulfur is gaining electrons).

I hope this helps.  Let me know if anything is unclear.

What is true at STP? 1) Temperature is 295 Kelvin.
2) One mole of gas occupies a volume of one liter.
3) Pressure is 1.0 atmosphere.
4) Volume is 2.4 liters

Answers

The correct answer for the question that is being presented above is this one: "3) Pressure is 1.0 atmosphere." STP stand for standard temperature and pressure. The values of STP are 22.4 liters, 1mole, 1.00 atmospheres, and 273 kelvin. Under these conditions, all gases behave ideally or the same.

The correct answer for the question that is being presented above is this one: "NH4Cl." The compound that forms a saturated solution at 40 degrees C that contains 46 grams per 100 grams of water is the NH4Cl. Ammonium chloride is an inorganic compound with a white crystalline salt that is highly soluble in water.

Please Help meHello guys,i really need your help for a few questions about the greek philosopher "Democritus"
1)revisions that were made to Democritus's model once further research was done.
2)one challenge that the scientist had to overcome.

please help me

Answers

Democritus was the first to propose the idea of the atom. He said the atom was just this tiny, solid sphere. However, he used no scientific evidence to support his claim, so a guy named John Dalton did some experimenting and basically backed up Democritus' claim with evidence. Then, a guy named J.J. Thompson came along and said the atom was not solid and that is consisted of tiny negatively charged particles(electrons) and he came up with the Plum Pudding model which is just a tiny sphere with a punch of random scattered dots in it. After that, Ernest Rutherford did experiments and found that the tiny sphere is made up of mostly empty space with a tiny, dense, positively charged sphere inside of it, and the negatively charged particles just randomly float around it. Neils Bohr then said that the electrons take specific, circular, evenly spaced paths. Then, finally, we come to the Quantum Mechanical Model which is the one accepted today. This model basically vetos Bohr's idea and has a nucleus inside of an electron cloud, which is where the electrons are found.

A student analyzed an unknown sample that contained a single anion. The sample gave a white precipitate upon addition of a solution of AgNO3 which dissolved in ammonia. Which anion is present in the unknown solution? Write the corresponding net ionic equation.

Answers

Answer:

Chloride ion

Explanation:

The anion present in the unknown solution would be chloride ions.

A white precipitate of silver chloride is usually formed when drops of silver nitrate are added to a solution containing chloride ions. The ionic equation is as below:

    Cl^- (aq) + Ag^+ (aq) --> AgCl (s)
