How do you get an odd perimeter for a rectangle? If you can, how oils you get a length and a width?

Answers

An odd perimeter can only happen if either the length or the width is a fraction with 1/2 in it, or both the length and the width have a 1/4 in it.
The length and the width are found using the regular means, but you will have to worry about fractions involved, so it can get kind of messy

Emma is 9 1/4 years old. How many MONTHS old is Emma?

Please Help!

Answers

Answer:

Emma is 111 months old

Explanation:

We know that one year has 12 months:

Therefore:

9 years have 12*9 = 108 months

0.25 of a year = 0.25 * 12 = 3 months

Since Emma is 9.25 years old, therefore:

Emma is 108 + 3 = 111 months old

a bill at a restaurant was $24.20 before tax. The sales tax rate was 0.05, and the customer also included a $5.00 tip. How much did the customer spend at the restaurant, in dollars?

Answers

First times the total by 1.05, by (1 + the rate of change which in this case is .05)
24.20 x 1.05 = 25.41
Then add the tip
25.41 + 5 = $29.41
$29.41 is your final answer

PLZ HELP

Answers

So 6 1/2% is 6.5 and that makes it easier. For the first year you divide $875 and the answer is how much more you get. Round the big number to the nearest cent and add it to $875. You should solve it yourself to get it so ill put x as the answer. After that x is is the money thats from the first year so you do the same thing as you did to her money from the beginning and do it to x. Take x and divide it by 6.5 (hint: if you get a bigger number you did it wrong so switch around the places of the two number you are dividing) then you get another answer which ill put as y. After that you do the same thing as before to get the money that she has for the 3rd year. And dont forget to round it to cents!

btw whenever you get a problem like this NEVER add the percents together and then divide.

If something in a store costs $45, and the markup is 35%, what is the selling price?

Answers

$45...............100%
x...................35%
x=35*45          x=1575        x= 15.75
       100              100
x+$45= ?
$15.75+$45 = $60.75
So you take the price u start with
45
Divide by 100
.45
Multiply by percent increase or decrease
.45 x 35 = 15.75
Add or subtract to original price (add if mark up, subtract if mark down)
45 + 15.75 = $60.75
