What would be the best way to measure Carbon Dioxide in a Soft Drink can?And yes, we were going to do it by taste.

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Read the nutritional facts which says what percent of CO2 there is. If the serving size is there, the calculate accordingly
Answer 2
Answer: I sort of know how carbonated beverages are carbonated: a lot of CO2CO2 gets pushed into the liquid, and the container is sealed. There are at least two things I don't know. First, how much carbon dioxide is actually dissolved in the liquid? Second, what is the resulitng partial pressure of CO2CO2 in the headspace and the total pressure in the headspace? I'm interested in cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles. I know from experience that there is some variation among manufacturers even for the same beverage, so I will be happy with general numbers or a good estimate.

Fter a radioactive atom decays, it is the same element that it was before with no measurable change in mass. Which kind of decay has occurred, and how do you know?

Answers

After a radioactive atom decays, it is the same element that it was before with no measurable change in mass. the decay that is present is gamma decay because gamma decay has photons which has no mass unlike alpha and beta decay.

The metric unit of force is theA. newton.
B. kilogram.
C. gram.
D. nanometer.

Answers

(The answer is A.newton) For example, the SI unit of force, the newton, is defined to be the force that accelerates a mass of one kilogram at the rate of one meter per second per second. This means the newton is equal to one kilogram meter per second squared, so the algebraic relationship is N = kg.

In the same science fair,Tina ask the question "does caffeine increase the heart rate of an earthworm?" In test 1,she measures the heart rate by looking at the earthworm under a microscopes, the heart rate if 50 beats per minute. In test 2,she places a few drops of caffeine on the earthworms skin and measures the rate again.in this test the heart rate is 68beats per minuteWhat is the independent variable in this experiment
What is the dependent variable in this experiment
Tina's experiment should have included a hypothisis .in a complete sentence, suggest a hypothesis for Tina's experiment

Answers

The independent variable is the one that does not change depending on other variables - so here it would be the presence or the absence of caffeine - this is dependent on Tina's actions, but not on other variables in the experiment. The dependent variable is the heart rate - it is assumed to depend on the presence or absence of caffeine. A hypothesis could be that "Caffeine causes an increase of heart rate in earthworms" - and this hypothesis is what the experiment is testing.

Based on intermolecular forces, which of these substances would have the highest boiling point?(1) He (3) CH4
(2) O2 (4) NH3

Answers

NH3 would have the highest boiling point because the molecules have all 3 types of bonds:
London dispersion, because all molecules do
Hydrogen Bond, because of the fact that hydrogen is present and so is Nitrogen, one of the elements that hydrogen will form a hydrogen bond with.
Dipole Bond: Because the NH3 has a lone pair

Answer: NH3

Hope this helped!!!

The crystal lattice structure of ionic compounds is responsible for which set of characteristic properties?

Answers

Answer:

The characteristic properties are hard and brittle solids having high melting and boiling point

Explanation:

Ionic compounds are the type of chemical compounds that are formed by ionic bonding. An ionic compound is composed of two oppositely charged ions that are held together by electrostatic forces of attraction.

They are solids at room temperature and usually have a crystalline structure and have high melting and boiling point. Ionic compounds are hard but also brittle.
