PLEASE help ?!

so you want to get all of the unknowns on one side and all the kknowns on the other (this only works with one placeholder)
with equation you must do the same thing to both sides (except divide by 0 which is not allowed and undifined) so that the equation stays equall so

14y-51=187+4y
so add 51 to both sides
14y=238+4y
subtract 4y from both sides
10y=238
divide both sides by 10
y=23.8
(y=17 would make the equation false)

answer is y=23.8
14y-51=187+4y \n 10y=187+51 \n 10y=238 \n y=23.8 so sorry but in this case the answwer is not 17. the first thing i did was rewrite the equation, then i moved like terms to the same sides (y's on the left numbers on the right), then i combined like terms (i did this for the y's in the previous step because i did it menatally), finally i isolated y by dividing by 10 to get the answer of y=23.8

El ministerio de educación publicó los resultados obtenidos por los colegios en la última prueba icfes saber 11. En el colegio San estaban el promedio de los estudiantes en la prueba de razonamiento cualitativo fue de 75,8 ¿ que significa este resultado?

Answers

Answer:

The leather of marshalls rectangular poster is 2 times its width. if the perimeter is 24 inches, what is the area of the poster

Answers

Well, the perimeter is the rim of the rectangle and you can use the rim to find the area... but, First you have to find the length and the width
if the width is two times the height when you flip that you get that the height is half of the width
So first you find that half of 24 is 12... this is our width
Now, what is half of 12... 6, this is our height
simple math tells us that to find the area you multiply that height and the width
6 * 12 = 72
so the area of the poster is 72 inches
