The third phase was when Corinth and Thebes requested Athens to be destroyed and its citizens to be enslaved but Sparta refused.  

Peloponnesian War happened for years and followed by a series of war. In 394-386 BC, Corinthian War happened as the following war after the Peloponnesian War. These wars shaped the ancient Greek world.
