Order the steps from arrival of transcription-promoting factors at the eukaryotic DNA gene promoter to synthesis of an mRNA copy of the gene. Include the terms RNA polymerase II, elongation, promoter, TATA box, nucleotides, and transcription factor.

Answer 1
Answer:

Answer:

Explanation:

There are 3 different types of DNA dependent RNA polymerase. RNAP II is the main enzyme synthesizing mRNAs.

1. Signals for initiation of transcription

Promoters: there are certain specific areas on the DNA that act as starting signals for initiation process.

The DNA polymerase attaches to the promoter site on the template DNA strand.

TATA Box: upstream of the transcription start site is 5'-TATAAA-3' it is referred to as the TATA Box. It acts as a signal for the start region.

2. Initiation of Transcription. The DNA helix unwind, and the RNAP binds to the promoter site on the 5' end DNA with the help of sigma factor. RNAP reaches the appropriate site of the gene and add the first nucleotide of the mRNA.

3. Elongation of Transcription: the RNAP moves along the DNA template, new nucleotides are incorporated in the nascent mRNA, one by one, according to the base pairing rule.

4. Termination of transcription: specific signals are recognized by the termination protein (Rho factor). When it attaches to the DNA, rnap can't move further. So the enzyme dissociate from DNA and consequently newly formed RNA is released.

grass is useful. describe the ecological services that grass performs in a hay field, on a golf course, or along the shoulder of a highway

Answers

Adding grass to places such as hay fields, golf courses and highway shoulders serves many purposes. First, the grass adds to the aesthetic appeal of the area, making it more pleasant to look at. The grass also helps prevent soil erosion by keeping the soil in place. In golf courses, the grass is important in making the golf ball roll properly for optimal playing experience. Another important role of the grass, regardless of location, is the addition of water to the atmosphere through transpiration. This yields to more rains and a better climate of the region.

The answer is 1. domain, 2. kingdom, 3. phylum/division, 4. class, 5. order, 6. family, 7. genus and 8. species. From largest (first) to smallest (eighth) taxa, the order is following: domain, kingdom, phylum/division, class, order, family, genus and species. Taxonomic groups, or taxa, are used for biological classification. For example, for human, the classification will look like this: 1. Domain: Eukarya; 2. Kingdom: Animalia; 3. Phylum: Chordata; 4. Class: Mammalia; 5. Order: Primates; 6. Family: Hominidae; 7. Genus: Homo; 8. Species: Homo sapiens.

Referred to as a giant molecule

Answers

Giant covalent structures contain a lot of non-metal atoms, each joined to adjacent atoms by covalent bonds. The atoms are usually arranged into giant regular lattices - extremely strong structures because of the many bonds involved. The graphic shows the molecular structure of diamond and graphite: two allotropes of carbon, and of silica (silicon dioxide).

Which answer lists the levels of the biosphere from smallest to largest, left to right?a. individual—population—biome—community—ecosystem

b. ecosystem—biome—community—population—individual

c. individual—population—community—ecosystem—biome

d. ecosystem—individual—population—biome—community

Answers

Answer: c. individual—population—community—ecosystem—biome

Explanation:

Biosphere is a part of earth which includes the living beings like plants and animals interact with the other important spheres of the earth like atmosphere, lithosphere, and hydrosphere to lead a healthy life.

c. individual—population—community—ecosystem—biome  is the correct sequence that lists the levels of the biosphere from smallest to the largest.

The individual represent a single organism of any species, the population includes individuals of a single species, the community includes members of two or more species living together, the ecosystem involves one or more biotic communities which interact with their non-living physical environment.

C. Individual-population-community-ecosystem-biome
