Heredity- The passing on of traits from parents to their offspring:

Genes- A gene is the basic physical and functional unit of heredity. Genes are made of (DNA).

Alleles- Allele, also called allelomorph, any one of two or more genes that may occur alternatively at a given site(locus) on a chromosome.

Genotype- A genetic constitution of an individual organism.

Phenotype- The set of observable characteristics of an individual resulting from the interaction of its genotype with the environment.

Dominant- To be in control

Recessive- is a Quality found in the relationship between two versions of a gene.

Incomplete Dominance- is an important concept in the study of genetics.

Codominance- is a relationship between two versions of a gene.

Hope this works :)

What's something that is the measure of energy of motion of particles of matter

Answers

The measure of energy of motion of particles of matter is called Kinetic Energy and is measured in Joules.

A rock at the top of a 30 meter cliff has a mass of 25 kg. Calculate the rock’s gravitational potential energy when dropped off the cliff. Assuming that energy is conserved and there is no air friction and gravity is 9.8 m/sec., at the bottom of the cliff the rock’s potential energy is completely converted to kinetic energy. Use the formula for kinetic energy to calculate the rock’s speed at the bottom of the cliff. Show all calculations.

Answers

Lets see:-

We have our formula for potential energy, which we are trying to solve for,

PE = mgh  or  potential energy = mass * gravity * height

So we know that PE all depends on these.

Height :  30 meters
Mass : 25 kg
Gravity (which is always constant) : 9.8 m/s/s

Now add into formula.

PE = 25*30*9.8
PE = 7350 Joules

Answer: PE = 7350 Joules

Now calculate speed:-

7,350 joules/12.5 kg  =  speed-squared
 588 m²/s²  =  speed-squared
 about 24.248 m/s

How long is a red blood cell

Answers

I suspect this question should read "How long does a red blood cell live." A red blood cell lives for between 100 and 120 days. It takes 7 days for a new red blood cell to develop from stem cells. Stem cells are similar to base cells. They can also be seen as a general template from which specialized cells are made. Stem cells can be taken from a newborn baby's umbilical chord or extracted from an adult blood donor's blood.This

Are diamonds shiny or dull?

Also can you give me an example of dull?

Answers

Diamonds are shiny. Dull is low in luster,
Diamonds are shiny.  An example of something that is dull would be a metal that does not have a shiny value to it (reflects light very well).  One example would be concrete.
