When it is cloudy, many of the sun’s rays never reach the Earth. What does this do to the temperature

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Answer:

When it is cloudy, many of the sun’s rays never reach the Earth. It leads to cooler temperatures.

Explanation:

During the day, the sun warms the earth. When the sky is clear, more heat reaches the earth's surface . This leads to warmer temperatures.

However, when the sky is cloudy, a few drops of clouds reflect some of the sun's rays. As a result, less solar energy can reach Earth's surface, causing Earth to heat up more slowly. This leads to cooler temperatures.

If cloudy skies are forecast when forecasting daytime temperatures, expect lower temperatures than you would expect if clear skies were forecast.

Similarly, cloud cover at night has the opposite effect. When the sky is clear, the heat emitted from the earth's surface freely escapes into space, resulting in cooler temperatures.

However, when there are clouds, some of the heat from the earth's surface is captured by the clouds and returned to the earth. As a result, temperatures drop more slowly than when the sky is clear.

Hey~ :) So, For the first one...
1. A pH scale measures how much acidic or basic a substance is. The pH scale usually ranges from 0 to 14. .... The pH scale would be, (0 - 14), I think. SO the second one for 1. :)

2. So, Since a
automobile battery can explode or contain and cause a sulfuric acid burn. I'm thinking it would be thee 1st one for the 2nd! :) sulfuric acid

3.
Electrochemical and electrolytic reduction cleaning processes, so.... they are the most common techniques utilized to halt, stabilize, and even reverse the oxidation of the metal. So Overall I think this would most-likely Be electrolysis.

4. Is 1, because, pH of 1 (e)

5.I am thinking this would Be
ion. Because, an ion is an atom or molecule with a net electric charge due to the loss or gain of one or more electrons.

Coriolis effect, global winds and continental deflections are all factors that controla. deep currents
c. surface currents
b. wind currents
d. density of currents

Answers

C.surface currents are the answer
Well, at first glance I'd be tempted to say all of them. The C "force" is why weather maps show winds blowing parallel to isobars and thus around centres of high and low pressure. (You'd expect, or at least I would, that air would flow from high to low pressures, not round them ... )

Explain type of inertia

Answers

Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist changes in its state of rest or motion. Different types of inertia are: 1. The inertia of Rest: The inability of a body to change by itself its state of rest is called inertia of rest. Example: A person sitting in a car falls backwards when the car starts.

Inertia of Motion: The Inability of a body to change by itself its state of uniform motion is known as Inertia of motion.

A 1,000 kg ball traveling at 5 m/s would have kinetic energy

Answers

Answer:

12500 J = 12.5 kJ

Explanation:

Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by a moving object solely due to its motion.

You can get the K.E. of an object using the equation,

K.E. =  (1/2)mv²

So you get, for ball

K.E. =  (1/2)×1000×5²  = 12500 J = 12.5 kJ

A kitten pushes a ball of yarn rolling toward it at 1.00 cm/s with its nose, displacing the ball of yarn 17.5 cm in the opposite direction in 2.00 s. What is the acceleration of the ball of yarn?

Answers

The problem is very unclear.  The way I understand it is like this:
The yarn is rolling toward the cat, and from the instant the cat first touches
the yarn, it moves 17.5 cm 2 sec, in the direction opposite to the way it was
rolling.

Average speed during the 2 seconds after the bump = 17.5 / 2 = 8.75 cm/s .

Average speed = (1/2) (final speed away from the cat - 1 cm/sec towards the cat)

8.75 cm/s = (1/2) (final speed + 1)
Multiply each side by 2 :
17.5 = final speed + 1
Final speed = 16.5 cm/s

Acceleration = (change in speed) / (time for the change)

Acceleration = (16.5 + 1) / (20) = 0.875 cm/s² .
