Please, put away the calculator, pick up a pencil, and look at the problem.

Have you learned the "order of operations", or PEMDAS ?  It's the key
to this problem ... knowing what to do first, and what to leave for last.

You do things in this order:

P . . . parentheses
E . . . exponents (powers)
M . . . multiplication
D . . . division
A . . . addition
S . . . subtraction

                                              2 x 7   +   10³   +   (10 + 6)

Parentheses first:                2 x 7   +   10³   +        16

Powers next:                        2 x 7   +   1000   +     16

Multiplication next:                  14     +   1000   +     16

Add that up and what do you get ?           I got  1030 .
PEMDAS- parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction
The calculator will solve the equation in this order. There for the 10+6=16,
then the 10^3=1000, then the 2*7=14.
Added all together you get 1030

What digit can be in the ones place of a number that has 5as a factor

Answers

0 or 5 because since 5 is the factor, you're going to be counting by fives. Each number that goes up by 5 has a 0 or a 5 as the ones place digit. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, etc.
25 or 5- your question is not very clear

What is the approximate volume of a cone with a height of 11 ft and radius of 3 ft?Use 3.14 to approximate pi, and round answers to two decimal places if necessary. Actually ttype in 3.14 don't use the symbol because it adds more numbers
___ft3
\pi don't use this do 3.14

Answers

Substitute the values of the radius (r=3), the height (h=11), and an approximation of Pi (3.14) into the formula to find the volume of the cone.
V≈+1/3⋅3.14⋅3^2⋅11

Simplify.
Write 3.14 as a fraction with denominator 1.
V≈+1/33.14/1

Combine 1/3 and 3.14/1 to get 3.14/3.
V≈+3.14/3

Replace back in to larger expression
V≈+3.14/33^2⋅11

Divide 3.14 by 3 to get 1.04666667.
V≈+1.04666667⋅3^2⋅11

Raise 3 to the power of 2 to get 9.
V≈+1.04666667⋅9⋅11

Multiply 1.04666667 by 9 to get 9.42.
V≈+9.42⋅11

Multiply 9.42 by 11 to get 103.62.
V≈+103.62

Remove trailing zeros from 103.62.
V≈+103.62ft^3

Volume:
V≈+103.62ft^3
so volue of a cone=1/3 times (area of base) times height
area of base=circle so

find area of base/circle

pi times r^2
3.14 times 3^2
3.14 times 9
28.26

1/3 times 28.26 times 11=103.62 cm^3

There are about 1.5 grams of fat in 1 tablespoon of hummus. How many grams of fat are in 2 1/2 cups of hummus? ( Note: 16. Tablespoons = 1 cup )

Answers

2 and 1/2=2.5cups
2.5 times 16=40tablespoons

1.5g=1tbs
1.5 times 40=60
60 grams
1.5 x 16 =24
24 x 2 = 48
48 + 1/2 of 24 = 12+48 = 60 grams of fat in
2 1/2 cups of hummus

the powers of 2 that are in the range 2  through 1,000 are 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,&512 .what does that  mean and it said find all the powers of 3 that are in range 3 through 1,000

im so confused

Answers

Answer:

  • the powers of 2 that are in the range 2  through 1,000 are 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,&512.

" This means that we are asked to find the value of 2^n for each n belonging to natural numbers.

Now we will stop our approximation when the value exceeds 1000.

i.e. the range is from 2-1000 ".

since the next number after 512 is 512×2=1024 which exceeds 1000. hence our successive approximation will stop at 512.

  • similarly for the powers of 3 i.e. 3^n

We will start writing our approximation and stop when it will exceed 1000.

i.e. 3, 3^2=9,3^3=27,3^4=81,3^5=243,3^6=729

i.e. the sequence is: 3,9,27,81,243,729.

We stopped at 729 because the next number in the series would be:

3^7=2187

which exceeds 1000.

It means you need to find every power of 3 that are in the range of 3-1000 - the power is the number that says how many times you multiply the original number by itself
So 3 to the 1st power is 3 = 3
3 to the 2nd power is 3X3 = 9
3 to the 3rd power is 3X3X3 = 27
And so on... Hope I helped!

I think you need to divide all those numbers by 15 since there are 15 girls on the team. 960÷15=64, 1,350÷15=90, 105÷15=7, 180÷15=12, and 675÷15=45. Ok so the cost in order from top to bottom on the chart is $64, $90, $7, $12, and $45. Also you're welcome.
