Answer:As a casting director my job is to pick actors that fit the part. They have to look like the character and act like I envision the character from the script. Even if one person is the best actor if they don't look like the character then they may not get the part. Its all about making the audience feel like the play is real and the characters make sense. I would prepare a checklist of body language, acting skills, body type, and face. I plan on having at least 200 people auditioning for 3 to 4 roles each. I would pick the best actors and then see if their image fits the character along with their personality.
