What does scientific method mean in science.

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Explanation:

the scientific method is a series of steps or procedures that scientists or anyone who has a question follows to answer any question that they may have. (it's in my own words)

Answer 2
Answer: Basically a way that scientists test certain hypothesis to find an answer. It’s supposed to be based off of logical evidence. Take this for example. A fresh water lake freezes over faster then a ocean. A logical and testable answer would be that maybe since there is salt in the ocean it keeps from freezing more. An illogical and untestable answer would be that a fairy freezes it. It order for the scientific method to work, you need a logical and testable answer!

A bowling ball is pushed with a force of 22.0 N and accelerates at 5.5m/s. What is the mass of the bowling ball

Answers

Hello!

Data:

F (force) = 22.0 N
m (mass) = ? (in Kg)
a (acceleration) = 5.5 m/s²

We apply the data to the Resultant Force formula, we have:

F =m*a

22 = m*5.5

5.5 m = 22

m = (22)/(5.5)

\boxed{\boxed{m = 4\:Kg}}\end{array}}\qquad\checkmark

Suppose the plates beneath Earth's surface stopped moving.What do you think would happen?Explain your answer.

Answers

There would be no more earthquakes or volcanic eruptions as the earth's plate are the cause of both these occurrences.(which can be seen as a positive)
However, the plates allow the earth to cool when they move because they cause heat loss.If the plates were to stop moving the earth would have to loose heat another way and since we cant tell how this would happen, it could be very dangerous.

What is the kinetic energy of a 1.0-kg billiard ball that moves at 5.0 m/s?

Answers

Given,
          m = 1 kg
          v = 5 m/s
We know that
              K.E.= mv²/2
                     =1×5²/2
                     =25/2

Which compound is an electrolyte?(I) CH3CHO (3) CH3COOH

(2) CH3OCH3 (4) CH3CH2CH3

Answers

Ch3COOH is an electrolyte for sure. So option “C” is the correct answer for this question. Electrolyte is actually a compound that dissolves easily in water and creates a solution that becomes a good conductor of electricity. The reason why the solution becomes a good conductor of electricity is due to the presence of free ions. There can be both strong and weak electrolytes. The compounds that release small number of free ions on dissolving in water are called weak electrolytes and those that release large number of ions are strong electrolytes.

The Correct answer is CH3COOH

The explanation:

when the electrolyte is: A substance that dissociates into ions in solution and acquires the capacity to conduct electricity.

- Electrolyte is actually a compound that dissolves easily in water and creates a solution that becomes a good conductor of electricity.

- The existence of free ions is the reason why the solution becomes a good conductor of electricity.

-The compounds that release small number of free ions on dissolving in water are called weak electrolytes

-and those that release large number of ions are strong electrolyte.

acetic acid partially dissociates in water to form two ions, H+ and CH3COO- , therefore making it a weak electrolyte
