Dear Diary,

I can never forget that ill-fated day. It is still in my memory. Recently, I was staying in Ecuador near the Tungrahua volcano. For the first time in 200 years it began to erupt. I saw hot lava, rocks and debris flowing from the volcano and advancing towards the villages. It was swallowing everything in its path! As it happened, people and animals began running to a safer place.

Have your ever seen an angry volcano burst and moan loudly? I knew that I did not have much time left. So, I quickly grabbed my money, clothes and passport. I rushed to the nearest taxi stand to get out as fast as I could. When I was 2 km out of the town, I saw a huge cloud of thick, heavy ash coming towards me. Although I managed to escape, many houses were destroyed when the hot lava fell on them. I was very sad to learn that almost seven villages were forced to evacuate!

The author includes both the right- and the left-hand twin in the myth to demonstrate Iroquois ideas about different facets of human nature.

The correct answer is d.) demonstrate Iroquois ideas about different facets of human nature. In the myth, the right-hand twin represents positive qualities such as light, peace, and creation, while the left-hand twin represents negative qualities such as darkness, chaos, and destruction. By including both twins, the author is illustrating the Iroquois belief in the existence of opposing forces within human nature.

Pandemic infectious diseases have affected humans ever since we set foot on this planet, the authors explain. They have shaped the form of civilizations.” How this may be true?

Answers

Answer:

Well, although the most prevalent example right now is of course the coronavirus pandemic, events like this have happened all throughout history. Think of the Black Death: it swept through Europe, killing tens of thousands and pretty much ending the system of feudalism. Though in modern times these pandemics have less potential to upend systems, they remain game changers. The H1N1 epidemic - the Spanish flu - sent shockwaves throughout the globe because of its scope and lethality.

BRUTUS. I should not then ask Casca what had chanced. CASCA. Why, there was a crown offered him: and being offered him, he put it by with the back of his hand, thus; and then the people fell a-shouting.230 What does the symbol of a crown represent in this excerpt? a position of power the will to live a big ambition the ability to change

Answers

Answer:

A postion of power

Explanation:

Antony has given the crown three times to Caesar but he has always rejected it. This has been noticed by Casca. Casca interpretes this as weak sympton of Caesar's: he is not ready for power. The crow, in fact, reflects power ,because when Caesar tried it on, people cheered and backed him up. However, he has decided not to become king. This event, developed in the excerpt, is what Casca will use to turn Brutus against Caesar .

The crown is a recurring symbol that represents power, nobility, ambition,  and greed. In this excerpt, Anthony offered the crown three times to Caesar, and he refused it each time. The crown itself symbolized Caesar's growing popularity, and because he publicly denied it, it caused the people to shout.
