Solution:

30 - (30*0.80) = 30 - 24 = 6

or you can do

30 * 0.20 = 6
30 over 100 times 20= 6
so it decreased by 6 dollar

What is the measure of the radius of S?

Answers

A diameter is a straight line that crosses a circle and the radius equals the half of this distance. So, in our case, the diameter would be YL which equals 12.2 adn the radius would be:

12.2 / 2 = 6.1

Though you could see it this way, there is still another way of finding the radius. The radius is a straght line that goes from the centre to any point of the circle, which is the same thing as saying that it is half of a diameter:

SG is a line going from the centre (S) to G, which is also equal to 6.1

Hope it helped,

If the question is asking the radius of 'the circle' S, then we need to pick a point on the circle and measure its distance from the center.

In this case, we already have G picked for us and S is the center. So, GS is our radius. It is also written that GS is equal to 6.1. This means the length of the radius of the circle S is 6.1.

Another way of finding it is; as you can see from the picture, YL is a line which goes through the point S or the center. We call those lines a 'diameter'. Diameters also equal to two times of the radius.

So, we know that our diameter is 12.2, when we divide that by 2 we got: (12.2)/(2) = 6.1 as our radius.
