Why was the Louisiana Purchase a bit of an embarrassment for Jefferson

Answers

Answer;
Louisiana Purchase a bit of an embarrassment for Jefferson because his decision to buy the land went against his own belief to strictly follow the words of the Constitution.

Explanation;
The reason this deal was an embarrassment to Thomas Jefferson is that it contradicted his political ideologies and campaign promises. He was a Constructionist, which means that he believed in a strict interpretation of the Constitution. In his campaign, he promised a small government, no national debt, and limited use of executive privilege. When Jefferson made the deal for the Louisiana purchase, it was believed by some to be unconstitutional because he failed to obtain congressional approval before making the purchase
One of the reasons why the Louisiana Purchase was a bit of an embarrassment for Jefferson was because it called for an unprecedented and very large exercise of executive power to make the purchase, and Jefferson was largely opposed to such "big government" moves.

How did World War 2 Start? and why?

Answers

World War ll began when France and England declared war on Germany after Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. But, the roots of this conflict lay farther back in history, after WWl. So, when WWl ended the allied nations got together to write the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles said that Germany was to blame for starting the war, so they had to pay for all of the reparations. Now, Germany wasn't financially able to pay for ALL of the damage done and so spiraled into a deep depression during the 1920's. Then, along comes Hitler who promised if the people of Germany elected him as the supreme chancellor, he would pull them out of the depression. He built up a massive army with which he built highways and rail lines and his soldiers got paid which helped to support their families. Hitler believed that he was the 1st leader of the Third Reich which would last for 1,000 years and to fulfill his dream, he believed that Germans had to have more living space, so began his thirst for territory. Hitler basically walked into countries he wanted to conquer and said they were his... and no one stopped him. He also wanted the Czechoslovakian Sudetenland, so he and Neville Chamberlain, the Prime Minister from England, signed the Munich Pact which basically said Hitler could have the Sudetenland as long as he promised not to invade the rest of Czechoslovakia, but he went back on his promise and did invade Czechoslovakia as well as Poland and that there is how WWll started.
