Solve for X: 2 ( × - 3 ) = 1.2-x

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: when solving an equation, you must do the same thing to both sides or else it won't be equal

when dealing with one unknown (x) try to get the unknown on one side

2(x-3)=1.2-x
distribute or multiply 2 by x then -3

so (2 times x)+(2 times -3[remember negative times positive=negative])
2x-6=1.2-x
add 6 to both sides
2x=7.2-x
add x to both sides
3x=7.2
divide both sides by 3
x=2.4
Answer 2
Answer: 2(x-3) = 1.2-x
2x-6 = 1.2-x
2x+x = 1.2+6
3x = 7.2
3x/3 = 7.2/3
x = 2.4

Can anyone please help me with 1,2,&,3 ?

Answers

Okay, lets start with number 1.

(x+3)^(3) is also equal to (x+3)(x+3)(x+3)

If you take the first two ones and multiple them out it ends up with x^(2) + 3x +3x + 9 or also know as x^(2)  + 6x + 9

You see to multiply them you take the first number in the first group of parenthesis and use the distributive property on the second equation, then you do the same this but with the second number in the first equation.

So once you have (x^(2)  + 6x + 9) you multiply it with your remaining (x + 3) using the distributive property to get x^3 + 9x^2 + 27x + 27

I hope this helps you get the answers for the other two.

(x+3)^3 = x^3+9x^2+27x+27

(x+2)(x-2)(x^2+4) = x^4-16

(x-2)^2+1 = x^2-4x+5

It takes 28 minutes for 7 people to paint 7 walls.How many minutes does it take 14 people to paint 14 walls?

Answers

Answer: 28 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

If M1 men can do W1 work in working H1 hours per day and M2 men can do W2 work in working H2 hours per day (where all men work at the same rate), then

(M_1H_1)/(W_1)=(M_2H_2)/(W_2)\n\Rightarrow(7*28)/(7)=(14H_2)/(14)\n\Rightarrow(28)/(1)=H_2\n\Rightarrow\ H_2=28

hence, It takes 28 minutes for 14 people to paint 14 walls.

Well, since you have twice as many people and twice as many walls. It would take them also 28 minutes to paint all the walls.
Hope I helped!

Writing to explain Describe a point

Answers

A point is an exact position or location on a plane surface. It is important to understand that a point is not a thing, but a place. We indicate the position of a point by placing a dot with a pencil. This dot may have a diameter of, say, 0.2mm, but a point has no size. No matter how far you zoomed in, it would still have no width. Since a point is a place, not a thing, it has no dimensions. Points are usually named by using an upper-case single letter. Usually represented by a dot.
