When solving: 1,175 ÷ 5, using partial quotients, how would you decide which power of 10, when multiplied by 5, should be subtracted first?plz help! That would be so great if you did! :)

Answer 1
Answer: It equals 235. Using the quotient 10x 5 would make it 9,765,625 so I would subtract it first

In what form are the equations written?

Answers

Point-Slope form is y - y_1 = m (x - x_1), where x_1 and y_1 are the given coordinate pair and m is the slope. So, the Point-Slope equations are y - 81 = (5)/(7) (x + 2), 2y + 32 = (1)/(9) (x - 4), and y + (2)/(3) = -(9)/(11) (x - 4).

Slope-Intercept form is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept, or where the line crosses the y-axis and x = 0. The Slope-Intercept equations are y = 4x +
(3)/(5), y = -(4)/(9) -(1)/(2), y = 7x - 3, and 4y = 9x - 5.

Standard Form is ax + by = c. The Standard From equations are 3x - 17y = 51
(1)/(8)x + (3)/(7)y = 56, and12x + 8y = -36.

Type the missing numbers in this sequence:55,    47,    39,    ,    23,    15,

What are the missing numbers?

Answers

It goes down by eight each time so the answer would be 31
Sequence is:

55,    47,    39,   31,   23,    15

So, the missing number is 31

Sequence is a aritmetic sequence with increment of -8

Each time Jenny presses the tab key on the keyboard, the software reflects the logo she is designing across the x axis. Her cat steps on the tab key 25 times. In which quadrant does the logo end up. Explain. So that's all there is sorry if it's not clear but's its word for word

Answers

lol where do teachers find these types of problems XD
all jokes aside, let me explain.
so quadrants are numbered like this:
Top right:1
top left:2
bottom left:3
bottom right:4

and when you reflect something across an axis, it ends up in the quadrant opposite what it was in before. so If the logo is in quadrant 1 its first reflection will end up in quadrant 4.  repeat and it will end up in quadrant one again. in  other words if the number of times the tab key is hit is even, it will stay in the same quadrant. If it is odd it will end up in the quadrant opposite it. Since no quadrant number is given in the question we must assume that it just wants us to say whether it stays in the same quadrant or the one opposite it. In this case, because of what I said before, it would be in whatever quadrant was opposite the one it started in. Very badly worded question, but this is the only answer possible. Hope this helped! :) If you are still confused than just comment and I will try to help you out more.

josh wanted to buy a bicycle but didn't have enough money. After josh told his troubles to sam slick, sam said,"I can fix that. see that fence? each time you jump that fence, i'll double your money. There's one small thing though: you must give me $32 each time for the priviledge of jumping." Josh agreed, jumped the fence, received his payment from sam slick, and paid sam $32. Repeating the routine twice more, josh was distressed to find that, on the last jump, after sam had made his payment to josh, josh had only $32, with which to pay sam and so had nothing left. Sam, of course, went merrily on his way, leaving josh wishing that he had known a little more about mathematics.

If he had less than 32 he couldn't jump. If he had 64 he would have not lost nor won on each jump -- he gets 64 in total after each jump. If he had more than 64 he would have won.
Now, 3 jumps give him a result of 32. After 2 jumps he had 32(pay)+16(doubled)=48. After the first jump he had 32+24=56. Before that he had 32+28=$60. 5 more dollars and he could have build his way to richness!
