A recipe calls for 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 3/4 cup of sugar. Compute the unit rate for vanilla to sugar.

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: I'm not completely sure but I believe it is 1 teaspoon of vanilla per 1/3 cup of sugar

The only problem is half of 3/4 is 3/8 so it's not exactly 1/3 but it's pretty close.

Hope it helps! Sorry for not being completely sure! Please let me know if it was the right answer or not if you figure it out ^-^

Find y when x=5, if y varies directly as x and y= 5 when x=3.5

Answers

Answer: 3.5

Step-by-step explanation:

In variation, and from the above question,

y ∞ x ,

y = kx , where k is the constant of proportionality

first find the constant k

5 = 5k

Therefore

k = 1

Now to find y , substitute for k and x in the first equation above

y = kx

y = 1 x 3.5

y = 3.5
