To me this painting looks like the head is under water and I would interpret this painting as maybe underwater life and death. This painting gives me a very mysterious vibe like for example when I first saw this image I Immediately thought of a dying cursed mermaid but idk ??? And the elements I would use would be texture and color and also shape but mainly texture and shape because of the red stuff coming out of the eye part you can see how it has a lot of squiggles and also texture because of the way the red pops out and how the black shadows makes it look like it’s an actual photo graph .....
