Describe the similarities between North African and Middle Eastern culture, and explain why the two cultures are similar.

Answers

Basically North African and Middle Eastern cultures have very similar traditional clothing styles, food, architecture, beliefs and art.
This is caused by two main factors: common environment and common rulers.
Both North Africa and the Middle East are hot, dry and deserty. Dominated by the Arabian-Syrian/Sahara Deserts, both cultures were greatly influenced by their harsh environment that necessitated certain adaptions (most notably clothing and certain foods, pork for example generally rots easily in the desert and becomes dangerous to eat).
There is also the issue of their common religion/rulers. A large portion of their joint history has been spent serving under one ruler or another (Rome, Abbassids, Ottomans, etc.) They also share a common religion, greatly influencing eachother.

Answer:

Responses may vary but should include some or all of the following information:

People in North Africa have common characteristics with those in the Middle East, including a shared religion, ancestry, and history.  People speak Arabic, just as they do in the Middle East and more than 90% practice Islam.  Many people are of Arab descent.  This occurred because in the 600s, Muslim armies invaded and conquered North Africa.  Traders soon followed, and these people introduced Arabic and Islam to the region.  Many Middle Easterners settled in the region, and over time, many people trace their ancestry to Arab peoples.  Many others are of mixed Arab-Berber descent.

What did the Emergency Banking Act allow the government to do? (4 points) to insure customers' deposits up to $5,000 to reorganize and reopen banks with enough money to operate to hire workers to staff deserted banks and financial institutions to borrow money so that it could spend more than it took in

Answers

The answer is option 2: To reorganize and reopen banks with enough money to operate.

The Emergency Banking Act of 1933 was enacted with the purpose of strengthening American confidence in the banking system since previously almost 1/3 of American banks had collapsed and failed.

The legislation regulated some banking practices, established several qualified conservators to take over bookkeeping and reorganize the banks, and authorized the treasury secretary to determine which banks were in need of financial assistance and to give them loans so they can start to operate again, among others.

The Emergency Banking Act was instated in 1933 after the banks were hit hard during the Great Depression. It allowed for the reorganization and reopening of banks with enough money to operate.

What is your opinion on Mormon Churches making it illegal to have same-sex parents and get baptized?

Answers

this is a controversial topic but in my opinion, churches should have standards. if they don't believe something is right and they have good reasoning behind it, then they shouldn't accept it. we hear a lot about churches changing their rules to appeal to the majority of the people, but that isn't how it should be. i'm guessing you meant to put children after the parents, and if so, i think that's there because if they really believed in the Mormon religion, and they wanted their child to be baptized into it, then they would sacrifice their relationship for the child. I'm not really familiar with this kind of stuff but this is just my two cents.
In my opinion, that isn't right. It isn't like the kids get to choose their parents' sexual orientation. Everyone should be able to get baptized.
