identify a two-digit dividend that will result in a quotient with a remainder of 1 when the divisor is 4.

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Answer:

Number will be of the form a=4q+1

Example: 13,17,21,......

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that we have remainder 1, divisor 4

So, we can take many numbers which is 1 greater than the multiple of 4.

the numbers will be of the type:

a=4q+1

We can use Euclidean division algorithm

a=bq+r

Here, b is 4, q we will consider we will consider q>=3

So, let q=3

We will get

a=4(3)+1=13

Put q=4

a=4(4)+1=17

There are many numbers.

Answer 2
Answer: The answer is 17 because 17 divided by 4 equals 16 with the remainder of 1

Recall that the length a spring  streches varies directly with the amount of weight attached to it. a certain spring stretches 5cm when a 10-gram weight is attached  write a direct variation equation relating the weight x and the amount of stretch y.

Answers

Direct variation is y=kx

In this case, y=1/2x. The spring stretches 5 cm for every 10 grams. Therefore if y=5 and x=10, k would have to be 1/2. That's how we come up with our direct variation model.

This\ spring\ stretches\ in\ proportion\ to\ weight,\ that\ is,\ for\ every \n 10\ grams\ of\ weight\ the\ amount\ of\ stretch\ is\ 5\ cm.\n \nx\ [g]\ \ \ |\ \ 10\ \ |\ \ 20\ \ |\ \ 30\ \ |\ \ 40\ \ |...|\ \ \ a\ \ \ |\n------------------\ny\ [cm]\ |\ \ 5\ \ \ |\ \ 10\ \ |\ \ 15\ \ |\ \ 20\ \ |...|\ \ (1)/(2) a\ \ |\n\na\ variation\ equation\ is\ y= (1)/(2) x

x - y = 5

Answer:

(11,6)

Step-by-step explanation:

{x + y = 17

{x - y = 5

2x = 22

x = 11

x - y = 5

11 - y = 5

- y = 5 - 11

y = 6

(11,6)

What si the answer to this? I'm bad at graphs sorry :). Btw it's number 22

a) To find amount collected in each category - you must understand that the numbers inside the circle represent an angle (in units of degrees).  Since we know a circle is composed of 360 degrees, we know each other portions as a ratio of that full circle

for simplicity sake, i will use "d" to represent "degrees"

Shirts = (140d)/(360d)*($7200) = $2800
Pants = (80d)/(360d)*($7200) = $1600
Other = (75d)/(360d)*($7200) = $1500
Shoes = (360d - 140d - 80d - 75d)/(360d)*($7200) = $1300
Total = $7200 [OK]

b) Knowing long sleeve shirts are to be 1/4 of the shirts sales, find the angle which represents in on the pie graph:

angle (long sleeve shirts) = 1/4*(140d) = 35d

c)  Assuming ratios to maintain over the next $900 of sales

Pant sales (in the next $900 of total sales) = ($900)*(80d/360) = $200

hope that helps
If It is in fact (b), then it's 90 degrees

The price of a computer set is Rs 5200 less than the price of the TV set. If the total price of a set of computer and a set of TV is Rs 105200, find the price of each.

Answers

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the Price of TV set be  x.

The price of computer = x - 5200

x + x - 5200 =  105200

2x = 105200 + 5200

2x = 110400

x = 110400/2

x = Rs. 55200

Price of TV set = Rs. 55200

Price of computer set = 55200 - 5200 = Rs. 50000

I believe you mean common denominator. Adenominator is the bottom part of a fraction or what something is "outof". If it has a common denominator it means they have the samedenominator.
1. 8/10 12/15. They both have a common denominator of30. You have to multiply the numerator by the denominator. 8/10*3/3=24/30 and 12/15*2/2=24/30. A lot simpler way to do that is reduce them.8/10 divided by 4 = 4/5. 12/15 divided by 3/3 = 4/5.
They are the same.
2. 3/4 and 2/3 when reduces. Or 6/8*3/3= 18/24. 8/12*2= 16/24. NOT equivalent
3.3/9*8/8= 24/72         4/8*9/9= 36/72 NOT equivalent
4.7/4*5/5= 35/20          9/5*4/4= 36/20 NOT equivalent
5.15/12*4/4= 60/48     20/16*3/3= 60/48 Equivalent
6.15/9*2/2= 30/18 and 30/18 is the other number. Equivalent

Hope this helps!
