Which situation describes a negative correlation

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: A negative correlation is when the points on a graph lead generally downward. For example, a negative correlation could be the amount of sunlight each hour after 5 p.m. Every hour it gets later, the less sun there is, so the graph for that situation would slope downwards.  Another example could be the number of tickets bought at each higher price. Say you have 3 types of tickets available, premium, deluxe and double. The premium are the cheapest, the deluxe are a little more expensive, and the double cost the most. The number of people buying the more expensive kinds of tickets is fewer, therefore the graph of that situation would slope downwards.
Answer 2
Answer: Whichever situation involves one thing steadily increasing as another steadily decreases.

Chester needs 2 feet of ribbon for an art project but his ruler only measures in centimeters. There are 12 inches in 1 foot and 2.54 centimeters in 1 inch

Answers

Answer:

60.96 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the amount Chester needs using his centimeter ruler, convert 2 feet into inches and then into centimeters.

Each foot has 12 inches so 2*12 = 24 inches. 2 feet is 24 inches.

To find the number of centimeters, 24 inches * 2.54 cm = 60.96 centimeters

Muriel says she has written a system of two linear equationsat has an infinite number of solutions One of the equationsof the system is 3y 2x 9. Which could be the otherequation?

Answers

The equation of the line is
3y = 2x - 9

For the system to have infinite number of solutions, the equations of the lines must be equivalent i.e., the equations will result to the same equation if the coefficient of one variable in an equation is made equal to the coefficient of the same variable to the other equation. So,

The possible answers are
y = 2/3 x - 3
3/2 y = x - 9/2

Or any multiples or rearrangements of either equations.

Answer:

y=2/3x-3

What would be the value of $100 after 10 years if you earn 11 percent interest per year?

Answers

If the interest is simple interest, then the value is

       100 [ 1 + (10 x 0.11) ]  =  100 (1 + 1.1)  =  100 x 2.1  =  $210 .

If the interest is compound interest, and is compounded annually,
then the value is

       100 (1 + 0.11)¹⁰  =  100 (2.8394)  =  $283.94 .

If the interest is compound interest, and is compounded monthly,
then the value is

       100 (1 + 0.11/12)¹²⁰  =  100 (2.9891)  =  $298.91 .

That's why compound interest is better than simple interest.

Step-by-step explanation:

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}100(1+(0.11)/(12))^(10)  \end{array}\right] = \left[\begin{array}{ccc}100(2.8394)\end{array}\right] = \left[\begin{array}{ccc}283.94\end{array}\right]
