N ∈ lNWe set A= n(n²+11)
Show that A is divisible by 3
( n is natural number )
please try to help me in this i need it tomorrow plz...

Answers

@Konrad509's answer was fantastic.

What you first need to know is this. 3 consecutive natural numbers multiplied by each other, for instance: (1*2*3) or (2*3*4) or (3*4*5) or (4*5*(2*3)) can be described using the abstract expression:

(n-1)n(n+1)

-------------

Now:

A=n(n²+11),

and:

n(n²+11)

=n(n²-1+12)

=n³-n+12n

=n(n²-1)+12n

=n(n+1)(n-1)+12n

=(n-1)n(n+1)+(4*3)n

-------------------------

So:

A=(n-1)n(n+1)+(4*3)n

Therefore, A is divisible by 3.
n(n^2+11)=\nn(n^2-1+12)=\nn(n^2-1)+12n=\n(n-1)n(n+1)+12n

(n-1)n(n+1) is the product of 3 consecutive natural numbers, so it has be to divisible by 3.

12n is also divisible by 3 because 12 is divisible by 3.

If both elements of the sum are divisible by 3 so the sum itself is divisible by 3 as well.

The steps below show the incomplete solution to find the value of x for the equation 7x – 3x – 4 = –1 + 21:Step 1: 7x – 3x – 4 = –1 + 21

Step 2: 7x – 3x – 4 = 20

Step 3: 4x – 4 = 20Which of these is most likely the next step? (4 points)

4x = 24
4x = 16
4x = 5
4x = 80

Answers

Step 1 :     7x - 3x - 4 = -1 +21
Step 2 :     7x - 3x - 4 = 20
Step 3 :     4x - 4 = 20
Step 4       4x -4 +4 = 20 + 4
                 4x = 24

Answer 4x = 24

Julia worked 45 hours last week. If her earning rate is $6.50 for straight time (40 hours) and she earns time-and-a-half rate for all hours over 40, how much did she earn last week?

Answers

First, start by multiplying 6.50 by 40, to get your straight time.  The product is 260.  The add that to the overtime.  Getting the overtime is a bit more complicated.  Start with multiplying 6.50 by 1.5, which gives you 9.75.  Then multiply that by the 5 hours worked overtime, to give you 48.75.  Finally, add 260 (from the beginning) to the 48.75 we just found.  Your answer should be, "She earned $308.75 last week."
