Why does the author of "Excerpt from Mr.Revere and I" develop parts of the story around meals

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: The book " Mr. Revere and I" was written by Robert Lawson. it is a juvenile fiction boook for ages 8 through 11. The author of the book did develop many parts of the story around meal times. This was to show just how important and busy Paul Revere was. It showed in the story that Paul Revere was so essential that he never got to finish a whole meal. In one part of the story, Paul didn't get to finish his breakfast because he had to leave and go warn the Sons of Liberty that the British were going to dock their boats at the port. He was the only to communicate this alert. In another part of the story, he had to leave his clam chowder half eaten and leave to go to Griffin's Wharf. So, he was an essential person to his people, a very important person, and busy at any time of the day.

Why doesn’t the school board want radio in school?
Read the following short passage.I started for school very late that morning and was in great dread of a scolding, especially because M. Hamel had said that he would question us on participles, and I did not know the first word about them. For a moment, I thought of running away and spending the day out of doors. It was so warm, so bright! The birds were chirping at the edge of the woods; and in the open field back of the sawmill the Prussian soldiers were drilling. It was all much more tempting than the rule for participles, but I had the strength to resist, and hurried off to school. When I passed the town hall there was a crowd in front of the bulletin board. For the last two years all our bad news had come from there—the lost battles, the draft, the orders of the commanding officer—and I thought to myself, without stopping: "What can be the matter now?"Which point of view is used in this excerpt?omniscientobjectivefirst person ***limited omniscient

b) poetry that uses precise imagery and an irregular meter

c) poetry written in praise of a love’s beauty compared to nature

d) lines of poetry with a pattern of 10 unaccented and accented syllables

Answers

The answer is D - each iamb is a 'de-dum', with the 'de' forming the unaccented syllable and the 'dum' forming the accented one. This is a highly rhythmic form favoured by Shakespeare among others, and is pleasing to the ear - there are five iambs in each line.

I hope this helps
The answer is D.

An iamb is two syllables (one unaccented then one accented). Put five of them together ("penta" meaning five) and you get ten syllables per line.
