Is slang considered a type of English?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Well, most slang words that have been used for a long period of time have been added to the dictionary, but then again, some other slang words have not. So, it really depends on the word.
But, for a straightforward answer i would say yes, just because some slang words are in the dictionary.

Answer 2
Answer: Slang is not proper english and part of standard english. Slang is considered informal and afton times vulgar. Teachers and professors will mark it against you when you use slang in essays or papers. So I don't think it as a type of english for use in assignments.

A substitute foot with two accents is _____. an iamb a trochee an anapest a dactyl a spondee

Answers

A substitute foot with two accents is a "spondee" and can be substituted as needed as long as the line maintains its standard form overall.

A substitute foot with two accents is a spondee.

First of all, a substitute foot is a metrical foot, that is to say the basic rhythmic unit that is found in a line of verse in poetry. There are different types of feet, such as the iamb, the trochee, the anapest, the dactyl and the spondee; however, the spondee is the only one that consists of two stressed syllables. In other words, the spondee is the only one that includes two accented syllables: syllables that are pronounced louder, longer, and generally at a higher pitch than the rest of the syllables.

During the prewriting stage, you shouldA. establish who your audience will be.
B. correct any misleading facts or evidence.
C. ensure that you are using the best word choices.
D. make sure your content is appropriate for the audience.

Answers

The first thing you should do during the pre-writing stage is A. establish who your audience will be. This matters greatly because if you write a college-level paper for a group of 6th graders they might not be able to understand it and would not learn anything from it. Same thing would happen if you wrote a 2nd grade paper in a college level class. You would get a low score. This also matters because you don't want to put anything inappropriate in your writing that shouldn't be heard by a younger age group.
