30 PONITSThe battle known as Custer’s Last Stand. Why do you think the Native Americans felt so strongly? Why did Custer lose the battle?

PLEASE ANSWER IN 4 TO 5 SENTENCES

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: Native Americans felt so strongly at the Battle of Little Bighorn because Custer and his forces embodied the idea of white encroachment taking their land, killing their bison, and upending their way of life. Native Americans fought back to preserve their communities and livelihoods. Custer lost this battled due to the superior military tactics of Crazy Horse who staged an elaborate ambush after drawing the 7th Cavalry into a gulch. Additionally, unlike previous battles, this one involved an alliance of numerous tribes which bolstered their numbers.
Answer 2
Answer: The Native Americans lived in that land.  George Custer went to conquer it.  The Native Americans protected it and fought Custer's troops. Even though Custer's army had guns and other weapons, Sitting Bull (the leader of the Natives) had many people who heavily outnumbered Custer's troops.

Answer:

C) Germany was stopped in the west for the first time in the war.

Explanation:

Until the Battle of Britain, the German army had successfully advanced without a single defeat in Western Europe, with the Blitzkrieg  - the innovative tactics combining the overwhelming use of tanks, artillery and the air force with the advance of the infantry,  a whole new way to wage war - , proving to be irresistible.  To attack Britain, Hitler could not use Blitzkrieg; he first had to achieve air supremacy before invading Britain by sea and air. The British Royal Force with all its brave pilots from Britan and allied countries, stopped the Lufftwaffe´s push to gain supremacy over the skies. Hitler´s push was halted.
