Answers

Answer 1

Answers

The following statement " Individuals who are going through this process may need a period of adjustment because they feel like they don't have a place to go anymore." is about retirement. When a person retires after years of work, they are worried about the future.

Answer: b. retirement

Explanation: When retiring after years of a working life, there is usually a period in the person's life in which the inertia of having a place where you have to go daily continues, clashing with the new "freedom" of retirement. Dependency and gerontology have nothing to do with having or not having a place to go, while Alzheimer's disease implies permanent memory loss.

Which word creates the most unpleasant mood ? Uncanny , weird, strange ,eerie

Answers

The most unpleasant word from the given following would be "eerie". Therefore, option (d) or (iv) is the correct unpleasant word.

What is an unpleasant word?

Uncanny is defined as bizarre or unexpected in a surprising or challenging way. Weird is defined as peculiar or strange. Strange refers to something that is out of the ordinary, normal or anticipated. Eerie is defined as weird.

They are all related, as you can see. similar definitions, in a way. One of them, though, exudes a more "unpleasant vibe." Either Uncanny or Eerie comes to mind.

However, eerie would make more sense because it is weird and enigmatic in contrast to the others. Therefore, the answer is "eerie" because eerie refers to frightening, or perhaps paranormal.

When you characterize something as eerie, you're describing how unusual and unsettling it seems and how it makes you uneasy.

Heeyo. c:

Uncanny means: strange or unusual in a way that is surprising or difficult to understand

Weird means, : unusual or strange

Strange means:  different from what is usual, normal, or expected

Eerie means: : strange and mysterious

So as you can see, they're all connected. Same definitions sort of. But one of them gives off a more  "
unpleasant mood". I would go with, Uncanny or Eerie.

Eerie would make more sense though becasue it's strange and mysterious, unlike the others.

Hope this helps. :)
