How does temperature, pressure and surface area affect the dissolving process

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: If I am correct, yes. As I was told in chemistry, the surface area affects the dissolving of the "sugar". If you put regular Surat in a hot cup of coffee, it will dissolve at a quick pace, but what if you put the same amount of sugar in the same amour of coffee, but the sugar was fine powder? It would dissolve even faster since it has more surface area. So temperature does affect the dissolving. Hope this helps!
Answer 2
Answer: Temperature : - DIssolving process is fastened by increase in temperture.( directly proportional)

Pressure : -  Dissolving process is fastened by decrease in pressure.( inversely proportional)

Surface area - Dissolving process is fastened by increase in surface area. ( directly proportional)

Explain the difference between heat and temperature.

Answers

The difference  between heat and temperature is that heat is a type of temperature and temperature is the measure of heat. Hope this helps.
Based on my knowledge, heat is like basically a feeling of warmth/heat. A temperature basically measures the heat like the warmth. Like, heat is climate and temperature measures weather/climate.
I hope this helps :)

Which of the following is true in regard to ions?A. Ions can only carry positive charges.
B. An ionized atom has a number of protons that is unequal to the number of electrons.
C. A cation will hold a positive charge if it gains one or more electrons.
D. Losing one or more electrons will turn an atom into an anion.

Answers

I think the best answer for this question is B. An ionized atom has a number of protons that is unequal to the number of electrons. Atoms have a neutral charge since the number of the positively charge particles and the negatively charged particles are equal. However, when these particles are unequal a charged atom will be the result.

Answer:

B. An ionized atom has a number of protons that is unequal to the number of electrons.

Which two characteristics are associated with metals?(1) low first ionization energy and low electronegativity
(2) low first ionization energy and high electronegativity
(3) high first ionization energy and low electronegativity
(4) high first ionization energy and high electronegativity

Answers

Answer:

low first ionization energy and low electronegativity

Explanation:

Final answer:

Metals are typically characterized by low first ionization energy and low electronegativity. This is because metals can easily lose electrons to become positive ions and do not attract electrons strongly.

Explanation:

Two properties that are typically associated with metals are low first ionization energy and low electronegativity. Therefore, the correct option is (1).

Ionization energy is the energy required to remove an electron from an atom. Metals have low first ionization energy because they can easily lose an electron to become positive ions. Electronegativity is a measure of the ability of an atom to attract electrons. Metals have low electronegativity because they do not attract electrons strongly.
