What is 8 divided by 1,898

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: well first take 8 and take the fist 2 numbers witch are 18 and see how many times  8 goes into 18. But 8 does not go into 18 so take the nearest multipul without going over wich is 16. Then figure out what times 8 is 16. 8x2=16 so write on the top 02 and put 18-16 witch is 2 then bring down the 9 witch will be 29 and find out 8x what is 29. but 8 does not go into 29 so find the nearest multipul witch is 24 and find out 8x what is 24. 8x3 is 24 so add a three at the top and put 29-24 witch is 5 and bring down the 8. So how many times does 8 go into 58. 8 cannot go into 58 so find the nearest multipul witch would be 56 and 8x what is 56. 8x7=56 so add a seven at the top and subtract 58-56 witch is 2 so your awnser would be 237 remainder  2.

If a sweater sells for $ 48 after a 25 % markdown what was the original price

Answers

If a sweater sells for $ 48 after a 25 % markdown then the original price

is $64.

What is Percentage?

percentage, a relative value indicating hundredth parts of any quantity.

Let the original price of the sweater be p dollars.

After a 25% markdown, the sweater sells for $48, which means the customer pays 75% of the original price:

75% of p = $48

Converting the percentage to a decimal:

0.75p = $48

Solving for the originalprice:

p = $48 / 0.75

p = $64

Therefore, the original price of the sweater was $64.

Which strategies can be used to solve this problem? Kathleen invited 28 people to her party. She plans to seat 8 people at the dining room table. She will put the rest at round tables with 4 people at each table. What is the fewest number of round tables that Kathleen needs so that each guest will have a seat? Choose all answers that are correct. A. Draw a diagram. Eight people at 1 table, 4 people at round table, 4 people at round table, 4 people at round table, 4 people at round table, 4 people at round table. Count the number of round tables. B. Use logical reasoning. Start with 28 people, subtract 8 people who will sit at the dining room table, that leaves 20 people. Keep subtracting 4 people until you get to 0. Count how many times you subtracted 4 people. C. Translate into an equation. 28 – 8 + 4 + 4 = t D. Work backward. There are 28 people coming to the party. There is one dining table, so subtract 1. Now figure out how many round tables there are and subtract that number.
