How are breeder reactors different from nuclear reactors

Answers

Answer:

Breeder reactors are different from conventional nuclear reactors because they produce more fuel than they consume when producing energy and can re-use the plutonium they produce to fuel the reactor.

Explanation:

Nuclear reactors use uranium as a source of fuel to generate the required energy. These reactors produce less fissionable matter than they consume. For example, the amount of plutonium produced in nuclear rectors is less than that produced in Breeder reactors. In Breeder reactors, the plutonium produced can be separated and collected to be reused as fuel in the reactor.Additionally, breeder reactors use a coolant such as liquid sodium equipping the neutrons with high energy thus increasing the chances  of the neutrons to be captured by uranium isotopes and be converted to plutonium.

Why do some asteroids tumble end over end?

Answers

Well, what's the difference between rotating and tumbling anyway ?

I look at it this way:

-- When you walk around and spin a basketball on your finger, it's rotating.

-- When you roll the basketball on the floor, it's tumbling end-over-end.

What's the difference ?

According to the basketball, there's no difference at all.

The difference to US is:  Which way is the spin-axis pointing ?

-- If the spin-axis is pointing up-and-down while the ball moves around,
then we say it's rotating.  Like the Earth, the Moon, and Mars.

-- If the spin-axis is pointing side-to-side while the ball moves around,
then we say it's tumbling end-over-end.  Like Uranus and some asteroids.

To me, all the planets and asteroids are just rotating.  But WE have
different descriptions for it when we compare the rotation to the way
they're moving around.

That's my opinion.  I could be wrong.

if a liquid substance is transferred to a different container what can be predicted about the volume of the liquid in the new container?

Answers

Explanation:

In liquids, force of attraction between the molecules is less as compared to solids but force of attraction between the molecules is more strong as compared to gases.

Also, liquids do not have any definite shape and they acquire the shape or container or vessel in which they are placed.

Therefore, when a liquid is simply transferred from one container to another container then its volume remains the same.

It will stay the same
