What causes chemical weathering?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer: rain water and air reacting with rocks causes chemical weathering...
Answer 2
Answer: hemical weathering is the process by which a material breaks down into its component elements through the action of a chemical agent. This type of weathering requires precise temperature conditions and the presence of a chemically-laden fluid. Substances capable of causing chemical weathering include water and acids. There are three types of chemical weathering: oxidation, dissolution and hydrolysis. Oxidation is the formation of rust on iron caused by prolonged contact with water. Dissolution involves acidic water and porous minerals, such as limestone and other soft minerals. This type of chemical weathering frequently occurs on gravestones, stone statues and building blocks made from porous rocks. The third type of chemical weathering is called hydrolysis. Like dissolution, hydrolysis involves the interaction of acidic water and minerals.Several secondary factors also promote chemical weathering. Minerals with small particle sizes are much more susceptible to this type of weathering as compared to those with large particles. The ambient climate and the passage of time also influence the scope and extent of chemical weathering. Natural organisms, such as bacteria, algae and fungi, are important catalysts in this type of weathering. Those that produce acid as a digestive by-product have a particularly large impact on the process.

A.Thermal energy is the total kinetic energy of the particles in a substance. The lake is more spread out, so it contains fewer total particles than the swimming pool. Therefore, the thermal energy of a lake is less than that of a swimming pool.B.Thermal energy is the total kinetic energy and potential energy of the particles in a substance. The lake is larger, so it contains more total particles than the swimming pool. The thermal energy of a lake is greater than a swimming pool because the lake is larger.C.Thermal energy is the total potential energy of the particles in a substance. The number of energy levels filled in an atom is determined by the number of

Answers

Answer:

The number of energy levels filled in an atom is determined by the number of orbitals.

Explanation:

The highest numbers of the electrons in a given energy level relies on the presence of number of orbitals. In one orbital it contains two electrons. Electron that are present in the outer energy level of atom are known as the valence electrons. Which remains as the determining factor of the reactivity of the element. Lights are being emitted when an electron comes from higher state to the lower state.

How do you find cumulative effect of two or more forces acting on an object

Answers

The cumulative effect, or the resultant, of two or more forces is obtained by resolving the forces. This is done by addition if the forces act in the same direction through the same point and by subtraction if the forces act in opposite direcitons through the same point. However, if the forces are placed at an angle to one another, they must be resolved into their consituent x and y (and z if necessary) components and then their resultant is calculated.

Answer:

Cumulative effect of two or more force can be found using Vector sum of all forces

Explanation:

Force is a vector quantity and in order to find the resultant of two or more forces we have to use the concept of vector addition

here we know that vector addition rule is given as

F_(net) = √(F_1^2 + F_2^2 + 2F_1F_2cos\theta)

here we know that

\theta = angle between two forces

so using this equation we can find the cumulative effect of two forces which are inclined at an angle with respect to each other

Why do we see the color black?

We see black colour in absence of light. Black colour absoorbs all the light, ( just opposite of white) and hence we do not see any colour. Black colour is also related to darkness.
