In an essay about how modern education developed, what is the best way to organize the essay? A . Introduction and statement of the main idea, followed by headings that outline key changes B. Introduction and then several stories about modern students in a school setting learning to read C. Introduction that includes interviews of teachers, followed by interviews of students D. Introduction that summarizes the current state of education, then a list of recent changes@worldcitizen

Answers

So, if I understand correctly, the topic of the essay is: how modern education developed.

so, the current state of education should be less relevant, and I think we can reject options C and B.

D also focuses only on the recent changes:  and I am guessing that such an essay would rather need to include an overview.

I am guessing that answer A is meant to be the best one, but I am actually against telling people how to structure their essays, apart from "they should have a comprehensive structure".

Answer:

A, I think.

Explanation:

Read this excerpt from "Mad Cow, Furious Farmer."The disease was first detected in England in 1986, though some scientists think the very first cases started at least ten years before. Cows usually eat only grass and other plants, but farmers had been feeding them a meat and bone mixture that made the cows plumper. But somehow, at least one batch of the mixture had become contaminated with what was then an unknown killer: a prion.

By 1993, British farmers were reporting up to one thousand new cases of BSE a week. Governments all around the world reacted by increasing testing for the disease and not allowing any cows to be eaten if they were at risk of having the disease. As sheep can also get a prion disease called scrapie, they were tested as well. Farmers were angry that they were losing their livestock, and nobody knew how to protect cows and people from the disease.

Consumers were also in a panic when they learned about BSE, and for a very good reason: prions are infectious. If you eat a prion from a “mad cow” or sheep, you are at risk for developing a human version of BSE. The public felt betrayed that their governments had underreacted to the problem or covered it up.

Eventually, in 1997, governments began to ban farmers from feeding their livestock high-risk meat and bone mixtures. With that ban, the epidemic quickly peaked, and by 2010 had largely disappeared. Over the years, half a million cows and two hundred people had been killed by prions.

Use the right form of the verbs in brackets. I really(mean) to write to you as soon as i(get) here ,but i(be) very busy sightseeing,as you can imagine

Answers

I was really meaning to write to you as soon as I got here, but I was very busy sightseeing, as you can imagine.

I was really meaning equates with I was going to, so they are basically synonyms. So if you had the option to write I was going to write to you as soon... you'd see that it does sound natural. As soon as I got here, is just sequence of tenses because the first verb was in the past tense, this verb has to be in it as well. I was very busy is obvious, it is a continuous tense in the past.

HURRY PLEASE Which statements do you think explain why the Seven Commandments, which are the principles of Animalism,
change over the course of the novel?
The pigs revise the rules to gain privileges for themselves,
As life on the farm changes, the animals way of life changes
The pigs alter the commandments to give themselves more power
The commandments change to show how power can corrupt people,
The animals that can read take advantage of the animals that cannot

Answers

Answer:

The pigs revise the rules to gain privileges for themselves.

Explanation:

The Seven Commandments in the novel Animal Farm was given by the Old Major. With these seven commandments came the word 'Animalism'.

These commandments were followed in the farm until the pigs (Snowball and Napolean along with Squealer) started ruling over the farm.

The commandments that were followed in this philosophy were revised after these pigs came in possession of the farm after the death of the OId major. These changes in the commandments made them misuse their powers. The first commandment that they changed was the seventh one which states that all animals are equal.

So, the correct answer is first option.

Answer:

A. The pigs revise the rules to gain privilages for themselves

Explanation:

Over the course of the book, we see how the pigs make several excuses and alternatives as they alter the rules to benefit themselves, but no others on the farm.
