What is 12/25 divided by 4

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

By applying the knowledge of division of fractions, 12/25 divided by 4 is: \mathbf{(3)/(25)}

Given:

12/25 / 4

  • Thus:

(12)/(25) / (4)/(1)

The first step is to change the division sign to multiplication, then turn 4/1 upside down.

(12)/(25) * (1)/(4)

  • Multiply the denominator of both fractions and the numerators of both fractions

(12 * 1)/(25 * 4) \n\n= (12)/(100)

  • Simplify further

(3)/(25)

Therefore, by applying the knowledge of division of fractions, 12/25 divided by 4 is: \mathbf{(3)/(25)}

Answer 2
Answer: In order to find the answer to this, you must first turn 4 into a fraction (4/1)

12/25 divided by 4/1 is the same as 12/25 multiplied by 1/4, because when dividing fractions, you must use the reciprocal of the divisor and multiply.

12/25 x 1/4 = 12/100 = 6/50 = 3/25

Your answer should be 3/25

What is 1700000000 in scientific notation

Answers

1700000000You see there is no decimal... so we have to put one. Whenever there is no decimal, its just add the end ;)

Now our number has to be greater then 1 but less than 0.
So as you can see 17 is greater then 10. So what about 1.7? Yes thats greater then one but less than 0!
So lets see how many spaces it takes to move the decimal there.
I got 9.
So then we do this:
1.7*10^9
Got it?

1.7 * 10^9th power
you move the decimal up 9 places to get 1.7 so 10 is to the 9th power

When figure is moved in any direction without rotation, it is called: translation.

What is Translation?

  • Translation is a form of transformation.
  • Translation involves moving every point of a figure the same units without rotating it.
  • The image below shows what a rotation is.

Which graph represents the function g(x) = |x + 4| + 2?

Answers

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Graph y = |x|.  This graph is v-shaped, opening up, with vertex at (0, 0).  Now translate this graph 4 units to the left and 2 units up.  The result is the graph of g(x) = |x + 4| + 2.

Next time, please share the possible answer choices.  Thanks.

The function g(x) is derived from the function f(x) by translating f(x) graph 4 units to the left and 2 units up

The equation of the function is given as:

g(x) = |x + 4| + 2

The above is an absolute value function, and the equation of the parent function is:

f(x) = |x|

This means that the function g(x) is derived from the function f(x) by translating f(x) graph 4 units to the left and 2 units up

Ok, first things first... No, she did not do the problem correctly. This question has everything to do with order of operations which says the parentheses are the first thing to be done, followed by exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction... PEMDAS.  Now, technically, her first operation that she performed was incorrect because she did the exponent first, but this really doesn't affect the outcome, so we'll overlook it for now.  Her next step was to go to the parentheses, but within the parentheses, she performed the wrong operation first... She should have multiplied 2 and 3, then added 4.  Instead, she committed the fatal flaw in her math and added 4 and 2 then multiplied 3.  As soon as that happened, the rest of the problem was incorrect because now she's adding and subtracting the wrong number.

The notes you made yourself on the side of the problem were exactly correct and if you followed them, you would have had the correct answer.  The steps should have progressed like this...

2^3 + (4 + 2 * 3) -1 =
2^3 + (4 + 6) -1=
2^3 + 10 -1=
8 + 10 - 1=
18 - 1 = 17

Of course as you get better at solving this type of equation, you can combine steps.  I wrote down each individual step so you could see more clearly what was going on.  Have a good night!
The answer is no. Allsion did not follow the PEMDAS rule. She added 4+2 before she multipled 2 and 3 together in the parenthesis. This is how you get the real answer.
2^3 + (4 + 2 * 3) -1
8 + (4 + 6) -1
8 + (10) -1
18 - 1
17
17 is the final answer
