What is Nunavut and what challenges has it faced recently?

Answers

Answer 1
Answer:

Nunavut is the  newest Canadian territory that was established on April 1 1999 when it separated from the Northwest Territories (NWT)

Comprising of the central and eastern parts of the former NWT, the  creation of Nunavut was the outcome of the largest aboriginal land claims agreement between the Canadian government and the native Inuit people. Most of Nunavut land is covered by snow for  more than half the year. The land is primarily tundra.

Some of the challenges faced by Nunavut  today are lack of job opportunities, isolation, acute housing shortage, social problems and high cost of living including sky-high food prices. The high cost of food has greatly exacerbated   widespread hunger that has dogged the young nation almost since inception.  Food insecurity one of the most pressing challenge facing Nunavut today.

What is the main reason so many settlers moved west of the appalachian mountains in the early 1800s?

Answers

The main reason for the westward migration of settlers in the early 1800s was the availability of new and fertile farmland.

The development of the US into the western regions was driven by a craving for land and the chance to cultivate and construct new homes.

As the populace developed and the interest in food expanded, numerous pioneers considered the West to be a place that is known for new chances at life, where they could begin once more and break the swarmed and frequently run-down region of the East.

The Louisiana Buy in 1803 and the launch of the outskirts through government drives like the Property Act additionally filled this toward the west movement.

B) Indonesia
C) Romania
D) Turkey

Answers

Hi,

So the correct answer would be BIndonesia.  If we look at a map of the world, we can see that Chile, Romania and Turkey are countries which are in contact with a major land mass, meaning more contact with other people and countries.

Indonesia
, on the other hand, is made up of multiple islands, meaning that it is harder for diseases to be spread throughout the whole country, as it will have to travel from island to island in order to have great impact on the whole country.
