The formula to find the area of the walls of a rectangular room is A=2h (l+b), h is wall height, l is room length, and b is room breadth. The area of doors and windows are ignored.Question - Using the formula find the wall area if the room length is 8m, breadth is 6m and height is 2.5 m.
Sorry but I have NO clue :(

Answer: Problems are very often written in a confusing way. This one couldn't possibly have been
written any more clearly.  Sooner or later, you have to stop telling yourself that you have
no clue, settle down, and carefully read the words that are right there on the page.

I'll tell you one more detail that's not in the problem:  "breadth" means "width".

Now.  The problem clearly tells you all of these things, in this exact order:

=>  Area of the walls = (2 x height) x (length + width)

=>  length = 8m
=>  width = 6m
=>  height = 2.5m

Is there a reason you can't take the numbers for length, width, and height,
and write them in the formula for the area ?  Do I have to do all the work ?

Area = (2 x height) x (length + width)

Area = (2 x 2.5m ) x ( 8m    +   6m  )

Do the arithmetic inside the parentheses:

Area = (    5m     ) x (     14m          )

Do the multiplication:

Area = 70 m² .

You will never see a problem that comes any closer to answering itself for you.

What Is probability ?

Answers

Final answer:

Probability is a mathematical practice used to measure the likelihood of an event occurring. It is used extensively in various fields to predict the outcome of an experiment or event. The empirical probability is calculated from observed data, while the theoretical probability assumes equal likelihood for all outcomes.

Explanation:

Probability is a mathematical discipline that deals with the chance of an event occurring. It is a measure of certainty or uncertainty related to outcomes and activities, especially in experiments whose results are not predetermined, termed as chance experiments.

Whenever an experiment is carried out, it is referred to as a sample event. The set of all possible results of this experiment is termed as the sample space. The various results or outcomes of the event are subsets of this sample space, and each is associated with a probability.

The empirical probability of an event is calculated by dividing the number of times the event occurs by the total number of opportunities for it to occur. On the other hand, the theoretical probability is computed by dividing the number of expected occurrences of the event by the total number of potential occurrences. In most situations, the probabilities of individual outcomes are assumed to be equal, but this might not always be the case.

Probability is used extensively in various fields from forecasting weather conditions to predicting the outcome of an experiment or an event. For example, genetics, where it helps predict the outcomes of genetic crosses; finance, where it helps a stockbroker determine the rate of return on investments and many more.

The surface area of a cube is 294 cm2. Which statements are true about the same cube measured in square millimeters? Choose all answers that are correct. A. The number representing the surface area would decrease. B. The number representing the surface area would increase. C. The actual surface area would decrease. D. The actual surface area would increase. E. The actual surface area would stay the same.

Answers

The answer to the question that is being presented above would be letter E. The actual surface area would stay the same. This statement is true because although the unit of measurement is different, the actual surface area remains the same and unchanged.
The correct statements are B and E. Converting the value to millimeters, we have 29,400 mm^2. We see that the number which represents the surface area increased. However, since we still have the same cube and same dimensions, the actual surface area is still stay same.

Statement and reasons m<1 +m<2+ m<3=180 whats the reason?

Answers

The correct answer for the question that is being presented above is this one: "the angles of a triangle sum to 180." m<1 +m<2+ m<3=180. The sum of all the angles of a triangle is 180. Since there are 3 angles that form part of a triangle, then the equation m<1 +m<2+ m<3=180  is how it represented it.

from the figure we can express as Pythagoras theorem for rectangle triangles:

a^2 = r^2 + z^2

b^2 = r^2 + z^2

sen m = z/a
cos m = r/a

hence by the law of sines and cosines:

sen^2 m + cos^2 m = 1
(z/a)^2 + (r/a)^2 = 1

z^2/a^2 + r^2/a^2 = 1

substitue first equation value for a^2
z^2/(r^2 + z^2) + r^2/(r^2 + z^2) = 1

which proves that in fact is a triangle rectangle due to Pythagoras and sine-cosine laws, the same procedure can be follow for the other rectangle triangule in teh figure.
